Thumbs up 48 hours..... Part IV

It was a very hectic day! Busy I was.
I couldn't check more than a post or 2 in the last 14 hours. Very sorry for keeping you guys waiting.

First, I would like to clear up some doubts which has come up in this thread and I will continue with my Royal automotive 48 Hours!
  1. That S Turbo is completely a different story. That's about a car which is manufactured by a very sportish car maker whose name starts with P. Yes, the thing has some great alloys made by the manufacturer itself and it's size is 22 inches! But that is a whole different thing from what is happening here.
  2. Regarding N_aditya's question about an S class on the middle screen. It is the Screen which displays almost every info about the car. You can control many options of the car from central locking to ride height adjustment. Also the interior lighting, ambience etc... More over that, you may watch some nice movies too. I know, the best place to watch that special kinda videos which you cannot in your home theatre! It also has 2 Headrest screens. While the picture was clicked it was at the setting where you can control the exterior light delay. so, the car was shown and the exterior lights were blinking on screen.
Day: Sunday, 22 June 2007.
Location: Lulu Convention Centre, Trissur.
Time: 1:15pm. (1:15 Hours)

Yes, it is a huge wedding! A very huge one. I drive in with one of the BEST CAR in the world and I am counted as just another! yes, there were more exotics lined up. Almost the whole line up of Kerala ministry and opposition were present in one stage and all happy and smiling against each other. Soon, the official wedding ceremonies started and it didn't last long.

I jump out of the hall to have some close look at the S500. I was lucky enough but there was some very known people there and a crowd had gathered around it which the drive/caretaker was scrutinying with his sharp eyes. No, I didn't want to be there. So, I kept it for some other good time.

By now, My Innova had reached here and I thought that is it. The END of my S class experience. I couldn't just let go of the key I was holding in my hand.

It was like a priced possession lying so great in my humble palm!

No there was no chance I could let it go. I was ignoring the driver and my Innova with a 'have I seen you before' attitude. Our guest was very kind this time too. He told the driver to follow us and we were again driving back to Casino Hotel.

Day: Sunday, 22 June 2007.
Location: Casino Hotel, Trissur.
Time: 2:15pm. (2:15 Hours)

I park the car and our guest have some more people to meet there and he is busy. My innova key is presented humbly by the driver of S and I tell him to keep it for some more time. He smiles and obeys very nicely.

Then I get to know that we are now going to a nearby town called Kodungallur. About 50 kms from Trissur where we are right now. I also come to know that the S is full. Because some of the people who came to meet our guest also has to make some more discussions and they will join him in his car. I am out!. I am sad, but politely and readily give the key to the owner. He hands it over to one of his friends and they all drive together.

Day: Sunday, 22 June 2007.
Location: Casino Hotel, Trissur.
Time: 2:45pm. (2:45 Hours)

I am deserted (kicked out) from the Best sedan in the world! I cannot express my feelings, emotions which came rushing like Niagara waterfalls into my rather small mind. I look around sadly. The S driver is asking me something. I am like; Hmmmm...... Ok! chal, let's follow.
But hold on! He is actually telling me something. What it is?

The people who came to meet our guest came in a Skoda laura with the infamous DSG option. And he is telling me that I should drive it and he will take the Innova!
Woweeeeeeeeeeee! My eyes light up. The hot air around me suddenly turns cooler. And I feel that the ground below me is not slush but made out of real tough concrete! I throw my eyes around to see a Black (small) beauty parked in a corner. I walk towards it with another wicked smile.

Another brand new car! Automatic with DSG and sports mode. Wide 205 tyres and 18" alloys. Hmmm..... this is not going to be bad. I thought!

Yes, it was not that bad. But was it really good to hurt my loosing the S feelings? I had to find out and my hands were trembling to find out!

Yes, Hang on!.... I will be back!

Zakariya Singh - Small correction boss, Lawra has 16" tyres not 18"! Unless this has aftermarket ones.

Yes, let me clear the doubts first.
The Lawra has aftermarket 18" wheels with 205/50 Tyres.

Why Chemists? Oh, ok! Rubber! That's were you go to buy rubber. But That's a different kind. Ain't it?

48 hours..... Will have to wait a bit.
Sorry guys! I'll have to take a short pause.
Right now, I'm going for a drive to Trivandrum. No. Nothing exotic or superb this time. I think it is the Qualis/Swift VDI for now. If the chances are bright, then the Accord probably. Please pray!

I promise to write the whole of it by tomorrow night. Because, I am free tomorrow for most of the time.

I am, more excited in writing this than you all reading it. I swear! But my busy schedule and travelling is stopping me from doing it in one go! I hope everybody will have some patience with me.

As I've told earlier, that S turbo thingy will be revealed in another thread.

I've reached Kollam. Spending some time with grand parents. Will soon continue with my drive.

Will be back soon with my royal motoring 48 hours. And yes, it didn't just end with an S and a Laura. More to come in another few hours.

Zaki - I lose track on how many cars you own, I am sure if you search deep in your fleet, there will be an S class hidden somewhere
