| Came across a picture of the condition of the SX4 that Maruti gifted to Gautam Gambhir (Most Valuable Player) of the recent India - Aus Twenty cricket match. When the players piled on to the vehicle, I was damn sure that the poor metal used by Maruti will show up after the victory lap is over. The photograph showed the roof to have caved in under the weight of the players on the top. The picture was in either the Times of India or DNA of yesterday i.e Monday. |

| What kind of a thread is this? All hypothesis! @emkay456, Your thread title makes one feel that Maruti has expressed its embarrasment on record. Only after reading your post I understood that its your conjecture because you saw the roof to have caved in a bit (I say 'bit' because beyond that the windshields would have cracked and broken into pieces). Any car... mind you, any car, will have its roof cave in if full grown adults try to get on top of it. Those who think that because the roof looked caved-in because of all those players on top please do try it in your cars. I am sure everyone would like to know of a car that can sit people on top of the roof without budging an inch. ![]() |

Not my First car, which was a Morris Minor. The joke was that the morris had more metal in its bonnet compared to the entire body of an 800.

| So Maruti makes customers who pay full price WITH NO DISCOUNTS wait 45-60 days for delivery and doles out the same car as FREE gifts to our filthy rich cricketers. Where is the justice?!

| thats the point.. if it is easy to bend then it is easy to restore. Not much effort will be required to make Gautam Gambhir's car normal again. But would it have been a 1.5 inch slab on top, then it would be very hard to bend it and equally hard to restore. BTW normal people travel on seats, don't they ? |
