wonderfull to have known his latest.its his sheer mental stenghth which is showing up now.i feel its a matter of time for us to see him again in action.

I can tell you one thing from my 2 visits to the hospital. His sense of humour is intact and sharper than ever.

This is from December when his condition was very weak.

JD: What are you doing here? In Germany?
Sam: Oh, roaming all of the countryside in a beat up old Opel Corsa.
JD: (eyes twinkling with a smile) Does the heater work?
Sam: My God, yes of course!
JD: Buss na what's the problem then.

From February, He's looking better and smiling a lot more:

Sam: What time do you go to sleep JD?
JD: Oh it depends. If there's a rave party at the hospital I'll be up all night dancing.

He's a great guy. And he's going to be fine. He has to be, with so many of you guys giving him all their best
