| Hi Guys, I am planning to drive to ooty this month (during christmas). I'll be going Bangalore - Mysore - Bandipur - Mudumalai - Ooty. I'll be filling tank in Bangalore before leaving. But while returning back can anyone advice on Good Petrol Pumps in Ooty. I'll be going by my swift vxi with my wife and 5 yr old kid. I'll be staying in Mudumalai for a night in Jungle Hut and then proceed to Ooty the next day. Any other advices regarding the trips are also welcome. Thanks Anand |

| Thank you beejay. When you say Gudalur Highway. Does it come between Mudumalai and Ooty? Is the pump reliable? I mean i saw lots of threads which talks about adulterated petrol issues because of it? -Anand |

| Senior - BHPian | You can fill up once you reach ooty, as you enter ooty there is a bharat petroleum two tiered bunk, I have always topped up there and have had no issues so far. |

| Hi Lukeskywalker, Can you provide some more details on where the bunk is? I have never been to ooty before. I am planning to go via mudumalai and take the 36 hair pin bend route. |

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | +1 to that. Have been using that bunk regularly for the last 4/5 years every time I travel to Ooty and seems to be a decent place. |

| BHPian | Two Tier BP bunk in OOTY is the best. Good customer care and smiling staff. They have a good superstore inside the bunk also with nice ooty chocolate. |

| This is located along your route and quite difficult to miss. It is also not far from Ooty Railway Station/Bus Stand etc. if you decide to fill up after you have landed up in Ooty and not en-route. You will not miss it, since it is a two-tiered pump. Approximate Location ![]() Last edited by pjbiju : 2nd December 2009 at 22:48. |

| I have always got my car topped up at the Indian Oil bunk in the Ooty City with Xtra Premium. It is the only Indianoil Bunk. I have tried BP and my car did not return a FE. |

| I filled up my Tata Indigo SX when I was in OOty. I was there in winter. I would recommend to fill up the tank with the fuel available in Ooty especially in winter and Diesel in particular as it may be blended with antifreeze. |
