Relax people,how much do 20 bentleys cost?maximum 40 crores?flats in south mumbai often go more than that,and i talking about thousands changing hands each year.you think thats not ludicrous?
Someone gave an example about racing horses,and there are people in this country who have horse collections who can make his cars look cheap.
Any idea about art collections?100 crore for a pop for van gogh or a Rembrandt?
Vjm's classic car collection did not come cheap,some change hands at astronomical prices.
So lets drop why he has and just read and drool.at least he is doing something good with his wealth instead of salting it away abroad.:-)

Dude this person owns cars worth Rs.150 crores.That's a serious amount of money,trust me,anywhere in the world.For reference Its worth 1/10 of the annual income of Hyderabad Corporation.Its just a sheer colossal waste of resources IMHO.Anyway whats the point of these cars in India? There are no track days to enjoy these cars in India and I bet they don't do a lot of Inter city travel with these cars,they would just fly wouldn't they? I mean all that horsepower for a drive through the chaos of urban India?

I know what money is worth.I would not pop 100 Crores on a Rembrandt and this is mostly for investment purposes unlike cars which are depreciating assets.People who do that have not earned their money the hard way or have inherited a fortune Ala Mr.VJM

You guys you should ignore the monetary values here. What he does with his money is absolutely his choice.



No need to belittle his collection by comparing and contrasting. The fact is that nobody in India has a collection like this, and until someone does tie or beat Mr.W16 and gang, we should stop talking about off-topic issues.

The bottom line is we should all be proud that an Indian completely ruins the meaning of the words exclusive luxury car or exotic , in a world where the average foreigner views India with "Slumdog Millionaire" in their mind.

Agree lets keep all the questions regarding the reasons behind his purchase of these cars,everyone has valid points to this arguement,but it would be fool hardy to discuss.

I always thought he never liked ferrari's however there seems to be two on that list.new purchases?one is the red 430 and the other?

As they say, each his own and how much one can afford. People spend thousands on model cars, which are just show pieces. They spend lakhs on pens, watches, which they don't use everyday. Why not spend crores on something that one likes?

What if all the current investments satisfy someone needs more than 100 times over, till they die?
