Also saw an RHD black FF at Buddh with some other LHD Fezzas, not sure if it is a resident car.

Maybe I am a dinosaur but I think Ferrari is losing it when it comes to design. The Ferraris of yesteryear were so beautifully designed with a powerful human sensuality as an integral design theme. These cars now are so cold and heartless and utterly lack sensuality.

Maybe because Sergio Pininfarina is no more? And the new breed of designers come with a totally different design ethic?

I don't like Ferraris to have this hard edged look. They need to necessarily look voluptous and very human, not like some alien spacecrafts !

Ferrari FF? Its Ferrari Fully Faltu !!

I remember whenever I saw a Ferrari it always felt like only a Ferrari could look like that. Now these cars could very well be Hyundai or Kia concept cars !! Also the cars are looking too "assembly line production" finished. They are looking too "standardardised and machine finished" and have lost that sense of uniqueness which usually came with handcrafted interiors and finishing.

A Ferrari must always remain individual like a human body is. Not mass produced clones of a design. I don't like the Italia either although I haven't seen it in flesh

Yes, I'm sure it's very handy! In fact, Ferrari must give it as a complimentary accessory, going by the recent developments.

On a serious note, I don't find the FF very desirable. For the same price (give or take), one can get an Aventador, which looks like it's worth the money!

It probably makes sense on a practical level, the FF. But who on Earth buys a Ferrari for practicality?

Ferrari's target audience is the bunch of rich-cats in Europe who often drive to the alps and on snow. Oookay.

LOL I was thinking the same. I bet Enzo Ferrari is crying like a little girl in his grave.

Seriously, why did Ferrari build this thing? I thought the purist essence of Ferrari was 2 seats, which has always distinguished them from "The others".

What's with those lame rims?

Hard to believe the same company made the F50. The F50 and FXX are the kind of cars Ferrari should be making. Everybody praises Montezmolo but I simply can't believe how this one passed.

They have gone truly commercial, I guess the real Ferrari died with Enzo(not the car).

Kinda off topic, but does anyone know if Lamborghini is beating Ferrari in terms of sales? I can clearly see why Lambo would have a better brand at this juncture .

This line shocked me! I googled and was relieved to see that Serigo Pininfarina is still alive. May be you meant that he no longer works for Ferrari

I guess it's the public to be blamed that Mr Pininfarina no longer designs Ferrari's. His last design was Ferrari Enzo. While I regard Enzo as the most beautiful ever car in history, it was called the most ugly car ever by public. May be this led Ferrari to choose another design director.

I would appreciate it if you can give your views about if Enzo is a beauty or an ugly duckling.

Voluptous and human? This puzzles me. Do you mean that Ferrari's like Scaglietti (which was replaced by FF in 2011) were beautiful?

If not then can you please name the Ferrari's which were beautiful? IMO the most beautiful Ferrari's were the ones with hard edged looks. Some examples are below. They were all designed by none other than Sergio Pininfarina himself.

My apologies !! I meant Sergio Scaglietti. I am however a big fan of Pininarina designs too.

The most beautiful Ferraris for me remain the original Testarossa, the 250 GTO and the California.

Of the modern iterations I liked the 288 GTO and the 308 remains a favourite. I don't like any of the Ferraris after this. In flesh I liked the 365 GTB. I never liked the F40 although it was a dramatic car to look at. I liked the rear of the F50 but not the snout. None of these Ferraris are beautiful as compared to the older ones.

I personally am not a huge fan although its a dramatic car I am sure. I remember sitting in a brand new F40 in a showroom in Dubai wondering why people made such a fuss about it. It was dramatic but no where as beautiful as the older Ferraris. I suppose my feeling about the Enzo is the same. I find its side profile too disproportionate. Too much bunched up in the rear. I am a fan of the long hood, seats way back era of design. I don't like the cab forward designs with ugly heavy rear ends. Even in Lamborghinis I like the Miura the best and then the Diablo. I utterly disliked the angular Countach although it was a wildly dramatic car. I like the Aventador but not the Gallardo (looks more like a Mazda supercar )

The older Ferraris like the Testarossa, GTO and California are what I had in mind when I said this. I vaguely recall the 250 Testarossa as a Scaglietti, but I may be mistaken. Between Scaglieti and Pininfarina there were some fab examples in the Ferrari stable

Guys, could we stick to the actual discussion, please? This is about the Ferrari FF launch in India. Beautiful Ferraris can be discussed in other threads, where it may be allowed. Thanks.

The blue is a stock car, has a wonderful interior, and the cars seen at the BIC were a part of the Pilota Ferrari event, I was invited but due to lousy work could not go, but will be driving the FF in early march, will post updates,

Have rarely loved a car as much as the FF,

Regards,

P.S Can a mod move the other Ferrari pictures? It's quite subjective and while some may dislike their new cars others like me love it, so it makes no point discussing cars based on their past and present, as long as the target client is happy, it serves its purpose, and it replaces the 612, which also had a similar target audience,

Here is a wonderful video of the FF's 4WD system,

Ferrari FF 4WD

Also since we cant post test data scans here, below is a quote from AMS on their review on FF,

Verdict: The FF goes and handles like a real Ferrari - and it is roomy as well. But the steering is way too direct and the brakepedal-feel is too hard.
Very high fuel consumption (average 20,8 liters/100 km)

Regards,

Just saw the new Top Gear episode (S18, episode 4). Jeremy drove the FF and compared it to the Bentley Continental V8. The Bentley performed much better than the FF on the track, and to be honest it looks much better than the FF. He also reviewd the FF's new 4WD system, which apparently is very complicated.
I don't know why anyone would spend such ridiculous amounts of money on this car. I mean, seriously, a fire extinguisher is 72k?!!
