It seems that there was a red two-seater sportscar later in the evening at Kareem's. Anyone has any idea?

Nice Pictures Gordon. The W221 sure has presence, but I doubt it has the timeless charm of the previous models. Look at the W220, W140 and the W126....all of which look fabulous even today. I am not too sure how the W221 will age, especially with its quirky lines. To me, its not a classic S Class at all.

Looks great. Is an awesome machine and probably the best sedan there is today. But still not a classic like the other S Class generations.

cudn't agree more with GTO there. although it has good presence but it lacks the charm, appeal, elegance & a lot of other things. no offence to mercedes but as usual, another new model a couple of notches below its predesessors. may god have mercy on the current crop of designers

@GTO & naveendhyani: I beg to differ on that. I've been a lifelong fan, obsessive & at times, critic, of Mercedes Benz since my childhood. Inspite of that, I think the new S Class' lines are truly superb, & definitely worthy of high praise.

Absolutely fantastic car..with great lines..but I still some how prefer the curr 7 Series even though we have a S350 in india but still, something about 7 is very macho whereas S is sophisticated trying to be macho which is cool, but being younger i like 7 more, but i absolutely love both...Its the best S class yet, and 7 is the best 7 yet..

This is one of the first 3 new S delivered in Kerala. Spotted it from LeMeridian Cochin during the Mercedes Owners Meet & launch of new E-class. Suprised to see that almost all in the programme were more interested to see this well build handsome machine than the new E.
