Isn't this the old incident? Was posted on the forums before with the same snaps (link (Accidents : Vehicles catching Fire in India)). Unless I am missing something.

A Nano catching fire can potentially affect the lives of 1,000 times more people, than an Audi R8.

Therefore, my friend, it's a matter of relevance (and the resultant interest) to us, as Indians.
Mr GTO, I agree with you here. However, conversely, is it not surprising that only 3 to 4 Nanos (AFAIK) caught fire out of some thousands put out on road, as opposed to 3 Audi R8s (as per post on previous page) burnt out of, may be, 2 to 300 Audi R8s we may have on our roads? BTW, sorry for pulling your old post out of cooler.

We don't have even 100 of them on our roads. The count should be under 50. People maintaining supercar registries may correct me and give the actual count. So now the percentage of R8s which caught fire will increase even more
