These two have been parked on the Terrace mini godown on a Toyota dealer in Hyderabad. Not sure what their story is. By the looks of it, they seem to have been abandoned.

The car in the middle is a Toyota Sera.

These cars are often left abandoned at dealers because either they are awaiting parts or the repairs on it cost more than the value of the car.

There are atleast 5 mercedes also parked, thought to take those and put it in forum. The covered car is a fintail mercedes may be 1950-55(just a guess) and its a recent addition.According to a driver(whom I hire sometimes),the owner is collecting these cars,he even said he is not willling to sell as he has approached once(not sure about now).I will visit and see if I can get some info about these.

re: Pics: Imports gathering dust in India

I was looking forward to buy this car, but it came out to be Ignored & Abused to the hilt. The pictures which were sent to me were very different from what the actual condition was guessing they were pictures from the cars past! It was a useless travel for a day all the way to Delhi from Bangalore. What do the Experts think on the condition. Can it be restored?

Was this parked In Vasant Kunj Near some A.S.S? If it is that car it's been there a while and i'd advise you to stay away from it.

Indeed, it's the same car. Any particular reason you have advised to stay away from it, as I also felt something a miss , while talking to the owner.

I've been seing that car disintergrate over the years it's been there. I was initially interested in it but was advised to keep away from a few mechanics around there. also it just looks too un-loved and i dont know the deal with most of the mechanical parts on the car. i feel it would be a major headache to restore and make reliable. I'm sure if you keep looking around you's find a celica in better condition. Plus, it's an auto!

Adit - next time, ask a bhp'ian for help in doing an initial look-see before wasting money. That is what the community is for!
