Slightly OT: The Ferrari 348 in the back ground looks interesting. Does it have aftermarket wheels or something? They seem slightly deep-dish!
thats g.s 's 348.those wheels are not that of a 348 but of a 355.was done on intension as he likes those wheels

OT: But ML, does the 355 have deep-dish wheels? From what I can remember, they are regular Star-like 5-spoke wheels! They look after market to me!

you could be right , i know its not the wheels for 348 for sure..but some how they did not look like after market, but yes they were very wide , in my opinion its better to stick to original wheels for a long term resale value..but ofcourse each one to his own

and since you are also a porsche fan , do check out the porsche website for the new turbo s, faster than the gt2

@ml: Suhaas would definitely know about that. He's got a Ph.D in porscheology.

They are original 355 wheels. These were options at the time.

ML it was not done by G.S. but by F.M. . G.S. bought the car as it is and had no choice. Guess the original 348 wheels also went with the car to G.S.

These were optional wheels at the time for the 355 Suhaas.

, the 355 rides on wider PCD (think thats what its called rim width) than the 348 and looks wider. The originals look far better but like you said each to their own. I like the car any which way .

This is an automatic and there is a black one too with GJ registration. The car looks good but i prefer the older celica's.

OT: A better view of the wheels of the 348. They aren't really deep. And aren't aftermarket. This was at last year's supercar show.

Thanks ML! I'm aware of the new Turbo S. I've posted some pictures and info of it in a thread that was started by Sidindica a couple of weeks back. It's a brilliant, brilliant machine! I'd kill to drive one!

Thank you Speedy and Theragingbull for the info! I had absolutely no idea! These wheels sort of remind me of the 599 GTB HGTE's! They do look a bit deep-dish-ish though! The lip does give it that look!

The Turbo looks great. But has it been lowered? Especially in the first pic it looks very low. And what's with the exhausts? TechArt?

For all those who find it difficult to distinguish the different 911 models - here is an excellent compilation by Gordon.

@ Shamik - Seemed pretty normal to me. Clicked while in my Corolla which sits pretty high. Maybe that might play a trick or two.

911 Turbos are generally lower than the regular Carreras. It looks pretty normal to me. Not sure if the exhausts are TechArt but they're aftermarket for sure!

Noob to Porsches and exhausts, but it sounded pretty damn good, that's for sure. Definitely aftermarket.

WOW ! That turbo looks sick! I want to own one soo bad!

Also, the turbo i think doesn't face many ground clearance issues in town. Been in a friends black one a couple of times and you gotta be real slow over the craters and go sideways at certain brakers(worli) but i doubt you'll touch the undercarriage very often which is good!
But speeding at marine drive is a no-no now, looking at the condition of the road on both sides. Its a pity!

On another thought, Notice how the yellow 997 turbo owned by A.P has a A.P registration
