This is sacrilegious. Even if we ignore the unruly 'mob' hounding the car, something this exotic must never have to see such pothole ridden road. McLaren chooses buyers for the 720s. One India-specific prerequisite is a personal race track.

The car is holy in auto speak. This kind of treatment is blasphemous

The hottest bit of news in Bangalore seems to be arrival of the Mclaren. Gorgeous car and kudos to RSM for putting Bangalore on top by bringing this awesome car to our city.

The roads have become even more pathetic with the heavy rains. I feel really bad for the car. It also must be quite hard for RSM to drive a LHD on our streets.

Bangalore no longer on top. The second McLaren 720s has landed here in Mumbai, a silver one at that. This one is on carnet too.

WOW! Does this belong to GS by any chance? Any specs revealed?

Bangalore still has some leverage with the Aventador SV, 911R. Remains on top if you ask me.

But hey this is no competition. I am just glad these beauties get to ride/glide in our country, that's enough for me.

The Mumbai 720S belongs to a prominent jeweller's garage in the city! Shares the garage with a Nissan GTR and a 911.

Is this standard for most hypercars? Not only is this unsafe, it is downright rude. Who are these people following the car? Are they some kind of moto-papparazi entourage? Are they in anyway related to the owner? What do they get from clicking pictures of someone else's car? And is it really worth the risk and effort?

Yes sir, the rarer the car, the madder the crowd !

Well, actually, I've never seen such a rousing reception for a supercar outside of a dedicated supercar show. But then again, this is the first McLaren to set foot in the country, that too with a highly publicized arrival, so it is not all that surprising.

Think of it akin to a wildlife enthusiast spotting a rare animal or a bird in the wild. I'd like to think that a supercar is a celebration of all the exciting things about automotive engineering. We Indian petrolheads only get to see our favourite supercars either in pictures in magazines and websites, and spotting one in real-life is a rarity. We click pictures of such rare beasts out on the roads to just to share and enjoy them with fellow petrolheads. Well, we've got thousands of pages dedicated to the same right here on Team-BHP!

Also, supercar spotting is a big thing world over. There are many who’ve made a name for themselves from clicking and sharing photos of supercars online, including a few frequent contributors to this thread. Thanks to YouTube and Instagram, supercar spotting has graduated from being a hobby to a full-blown career for many, especially in the UK and USA. What's better than monetizing your passion!

Well, I'm sure most people who buy a supercar will know that it will garner quite a bit of attention, so they expect all this. Some people do get really excited on seeing a supercar and go overboard, like zipping through traffic trying to keep up with it. Whenever possible, I'm sure most of the people in the know always request the owner for permission to take a picture of their vehicle.

I used to be a supercar spotter myself back in my undergrad days, but now, whenever I spot a nice car on the road, rather than grabbing my phone to click a picture or take a video, I just enjoy looking at them, and listening to their engine note.
Hope I didn't go . Cheers!

Nope, it doesn't belong to the same garage. Pretty sure there's a picture of this car with GS driving it.
