hi rehaan, totally agree with u. the gt40 was and still is an amazingly beautiful car. the new gt from ford doesnt even come close (though it's supposed to be the same design) i guess. it was the car that ended ferrari's stranglehold over le mans.

Thanks for the pics bud....we had a discussion about the GT40 on the forum if you want to search for it.....

The new GT is beautiful...it doesnt have the feeling of being a huge part of history and a true legend like the originals do.....but it is still stunning....and still remains a ferrari killer in my opinion ;-]
Its beautiful, and the best thing about it is that Ford actually bothered to bring it back without messing with it too much (atleast in terms of looks!)

one of my friends said he saw it at a car show and some guys were revving it (i didnt have the pleasure of hearing it revv though :-( ..... and it was soo loud that his ears started to hurt and he had to cover them!! ;-]

i dont know. maybe like they say, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.......but cars like the gt40 are stuff of legends...the new car doesnt (my personal view, pardon me if i'm wrong) have the same haunting expressions as the original. a remix is just a remix....it'll never be as good as the original. but a ferrari killer, it still is. amen to that.

Hey great pics rehaan. Yeah the expos here are nothing compared to the one in Delhi. And this years one wa san excuse for a show. Aditaya can vouch for it. I seriously think we need better shows.

thats exactly wht i meant. u do get to see a lot of imported cars in delhi too. but the sense of 'doing up' cars is better, much better in mumbai and b'lore.......rather than in delhi. here, the done-up domestic cars are amazingly garish and tasteless.

how the f*** did u get to c the maybach inside out man ! u had some1 inside or what?? 'coz only VIP's were allowed...i went all the way from here(assuming ur frm bbay) to delhi just for the show & i could see it frm a distance only couldnt even c the rear or interior..same abt the SL..

& rehaan i agree with u..new gt40 also looks like a killer..awesome...beast i'd say it really embarasses the 360 !

hi kulkarni, i'd got myself a few exhibitor passes + my frnd knew the mercedes guys. so we got to check out the maybach inside out, and even sit inside the sl500 and play with the power top. the sl was amazing with the sexy silver exteriors and red leather interiors.
