I do not know which model it is, but love that picture.

May be because sorrounding: old building, old huge tree, different lights, old style pavement etc. If you remove that bike from the pic, may look fantastic.

First things first, The pic was not clicked by me but my good friend Arun(ImmortalZ). While he was roaming around clicking these we(rest of bhpians) were busy gulping down our pizzas at Four seasons(even ate up some of arun's ). So it would be unfair to take away the fruit of his hard work

Thanks guys, even I love the pic, and that is exactly why I decided to post it alone. To give the complete 'Old World Charm' effect of the pic. So here are the front shots.

Lovely snap of the German old-timer there.Looks oh so retro!

Its a mid 1960s Mercedes W110 "Fintail" model, most probably a 200, that replaced the much loved W120 and W121 "Ponton" models.

I think its a 190D, 110 series from the early 1960s. Not sure whether its a 190D or some other, but sure that its 110 series.

Thank you & glad to get such a compliment - Merc Guru - sounds good.

Ok, which car do you ment dude - E-Coupe or fintail?

E-Coupe - one of the best looking coupes at present. It's better looking than the sedan & I love the coupe over sedan which is why I bought the coupe scale model at first! It's infact a fusion of classic design lines and the modern sharp edges. It's lovely, in one word.

Fintail - Oh, that is one the masterpieces in automobile history. It still don't look its age, it has an elegant character for the purpose its made & it was recogonised too!

Its a 1967 mercedes w110 200. The bodystyle is known as the 'heckflosse' which means, fintail. It was brought out my merc, in answer to the american, tailfin fever of that era. It came after the 'ponton', and was replaced by the w115 'compact' in 1969.

This particular car belongs to a hotelier in Fort Cochin. It was purchased a couple of months back, and is in remarkable condition, with even the red MB tex interior and becker radio intact.

That's a W110 200. How do I know? I can see the badging in one of those (brilliant) photos . This one seems to be missing the chrome detailing on the fintails, other than that it looks like museum material.

The fintail sure does bring back memories. My grandpa had a 190D as his official car. I still remember my rides in that immaculate maroon machine. FYI, this was back in the 80s, just in case someone assumes I'm that old..

BTW: I believe KL11 still has his grandpa's neat W110 series.

Thanks for the kind words about the photos guys. I took them during our last drive.

The car is in immaculate condition. The interior looks like it just came out of the factory.
