As someone from Kerala living elsewhere, I find it hard to undestand the practicalities of owning Gallardo Spider and the likes in Kerala.

These have to be just trophy cars with very little actual time on the roads. I have never been on a Gallardo, but I have read that the ride quality of them on smooth European roads leaves a lot to be desired, so I can't imagine how someone could drive them on the roads in Kerala. You would clip to the front bottom lip and the rear exhausts before you know it...!

Anyway, fair play to those who can afford to buy these cars there. I can only imagine how much more expensive these cars are there with the taxes Indian Government slaps on top of their already expensive premium pricing.

Absolutely 100% agree with positron's comment. Considering the cost of spare parts alone for such expensive cars, no auto enthusiast would attempt to own them in pot hole filled roads our state. If the owner could afford to buy a car, he might as well buy a sizable tarred plot to do justice to the magnificent vehicle.
