Its a 997. you can make out by the way the rear fenders are flaired. The 996 didn't have such broad shoulders!

Spot on rtech. This is a 997 This car does round of South Bombay most of the times. A friend of mine caught this and another 911 racing each other at seaface at 2 AM a couple of months ago

Hey...from the time Porsche has opened dealership ...u can see too many around on Sun itself i saw a blue Boxter and Carrera at Choksis while a yellow BoxterS
....it will be our day soon !!

There was no 996 Carrera S. There was a Carrera 2, Carrera 4 and a Carrera 4S.

Also one may differentiate between the 997 and the 996 rear by the way that there is no connecting reflector strip between the tail lights as in the 996.

And isnt it also true that the 996's had half-combined looking tailpipes (like the cayenne turbo, whereas the 997's have twin doublebarrels (this i know).

The porsche silver one is driven by Ashish Chhordia sometimes. Ive seen him i think a couple of times near hilton. its the demo car of Porsche.

Not all 997's have same twin double barrels ....
Carrera S - 4 exhausts all 4 of them are round
Carrera - 2 exhausts Oval
Turbo S / Turbo S Cabriolet - 2 exhausts not exactly oval

Im sorry if you were talking only about Carrera S

Right F50,

I was talking specifically about the Carrera S when i was talking abt the 997... should have been more clear. Good to know about the other 997's though, i wasnt sure of their "exhaust layouts"....
