Either 9009 or 6006.

Ah yes, that seems to ring a bell. Something like :

MH 0? AX 9009

The car was present for the very first speedrun, so there should be pics around with the number plate visible...

Anyway, coming to the point -- this car had a different number, so its possible it might not be the same one.

If it was 9009, it was Kunal Kapoor's Evo which participated in the 2003 Speedrun.

No Nitrous, this one is a MH registered EVO. MH-04-AX-9009. Its also the same EVO that was featured in Autocar India in their 3-Lancer shootout.

Note - The regn is revealed since the car has been featured in magazines and at public events.

Nope, as per my last post this is not that car (or atleast not that number plate).

The white evo6 in post #63 does also have a MH number plate, but it is not 9009.

Adding to a really old post, nevertheless, this car is (permanently) parked in front of Prithvi theater, Juhu (that's the Kapoor family's residence)..
The security guard was really accommodating in allowing me to come in and have a closer look ...
drool stuff indeed... It wasn't carrying any hit marks though ...
But the no. is 9009...

Has she been refurbished, Manas? The last time that I saw the 9009, the car was in a fairly abused condition.

looking at the pics posted by khanak where the evo is getting serviced, the plastic hand cover sports a mercedes benz logo. Are the spare and service parts got from merc service center????

Nope, that's definitely a Mitsu workshop (notice the other Lancers on either side). This EVO used to get serviced at the same place as my Jeep : Mahindra Milestone workshop.

It was sparkling white.. no dents / damage / torn body parts.
Must've been restored. The security guard told that it hadn't been driven in quite a while...

The tail lights look like than of an evo 5.Evo 6 come without the red inserts.I've only seen evo 6.5(Tommi Mäkinen edition) and evo 5 with that sort of tail lights.

The car spotted at Ballard pier mallabar hill marine drive is the lancer modded to look and move like the Evo and bears registration no MH XXX 66. Kunals Evo which was in the first speed run is MH XXX 9009. 66 does move and how, seen him zip on marine drive at night. The car is real fast and i think Karan (KS Motorsport) has done the car for him. Hope this helps

Seen 66 on the road a couple of times. Bright lights and sounds reallly great, but the rear seems to be rather high.
