If I remember correctly, the owner was driving this Porsche at that time-attack event organized at MMST, and he blew a tyre at C12 and almost crashed the car.

He really struggled to keep it under control, with the car fish-tailing to the left and right, but finally managed to straighten up! Quite a good bit of driving that was

It is a pretty quiet car, Scorcher. Especially when you compare it other exotics. You do get the characteristic V8 thrum while it idols, but it sounds very muted and it's rather disappointing! I've heard one on close quarters (not in India) and it could have been louder!

Don't know about the R8 V10 though!

Black looks great! I'd like to see an R8 V10 in red or blue too! That would look great! Espeically with the optional carbon-fiber flap-panel-thingy on the side! Even the silver panel would look good if you ask me!

P.S. Bivin! Thanks for the videos dude! Great stuff!

Sweet! I've been wanting more pictures of the red Jag XK-R! Nice catch! I hope you'd run into it while it was parked or something. you could have got some better shots of it!

P.S. (With reference to the Bentley Continental Flying Spur) I don't think you're allowed to post pictures of cars inside private property without permission.

The 'idol'(?) in my previous post was a typo. Can't believe I got that wrong! It would be great if the mods could correct it! Sorry!

The XK-R looks FABULOUS. Wonder why it didn't go to the Supercar rally.

The XKR looks fabulous in red. Nice to see so many Jags in the Indian roads off lately.
IMO black looks best on a XKR or on any Jag for that matter.
Nice pics vibhu !!

im probably very wrong about this, but i have to disagree about this point.

let me describe to you and incident. was once on my way to a local pool joint to meet up with my friends. as i reach the place, i saw that a regular, who owns a porsche 997 turbo, had come up with a friend, who was in an R8. after a while, they were both leaving, and i didnt really want to miss the short 'live duet'.
first the porsche guys started up and then hammered away, it was reasonably loud. but then i heard the r8 start up.. im not sure if he had any mods on it, but man was she loud!! like you say suhaas, it idles like nothing else!!! and when he slowly pulled away (he wasnt really much of a show-off unlike his friend), the rumbling of that V8 was monstrous!!!
now ive heard gallardos, fezza f430s, sl63's, at close range, and i prefer the r8 over them all anyday!!!
this is just a personal observation, so feel free to disagree guys..

Bivin,

You might be right! The V8 rumble is quite orgasmic but the growl from the exhaust is very muted. The engine makes most of the noise, I think. IMO the R8 could have been louder but then again, I was around quite a lot of super cars that time and I was pretty spoilt by the end of the day!

Hey Bivin, I too saw it this morning. I've posted a pic on the Import Crashes thread. I guess it could have been caused by that new unmarked speed breaker they put there last week. Here's the link:
