@avishar: that is rust that forms on the top layer of the rotor, it will go off if the brakes are used a couple of times. (correct me if I'm wrong)

My guess is, when the car has been standing still for a long time the rust forms on the exposed part disk. The part which looks clean and shiny was where it was being held when standing still. Now that the car has moved, that part is exposed.

I hope I could convey what I mean

It looks like dirt to me on the disc, you sightly see it on top half.

The brakes are made of carbon ceramic composites with little or no metallic particles. They won't rust and what you see is slush/mud.

Then why would it be on part of the disc (which looks like steel to me, but I have no idea) only?

yup thats a GTO alright!! rubicons its the same one you spotted!!
one of only 2 in chennai. its a twin turbo manual. went for a spin in it on tuesday night. that thing has some horrible tyres, and it was mildly wet when we were out, but still that thing can move.. FAST!! you just fall in love with the sound of those turbos!!

Spotted a red KA registered Supra couple of days back on N H Road. Also Balasingh's Rolls Royce Ghost today... was coated with all the grime rising from the roads after the rains
