I guess you really haven't read up on me .. I do not use the Porsche . It is being driven by my younger brother since the past 1 year. His escorts are the Skoda/ CRV. I drive my CR-V (new gen) every day and drive the LP occasionally .

Actually, i am not that much of a good reader.. I never read things completely.... saw the car pics and thought that you were the one driving it..

Hey eckreturns, i hope my advice changes your mind. Forget about the m3 and wait for the 2010 camaro that releases march of next year. It will release in the european market so no issue of a RHD. In the earlier models, no right hand drives were made. I am surely getting one down once it releases..

Whatsay?

I'd recommend you stick with the 6MT. I've heard conflicting reports about the DCT, with some owners waiting for a software update to the DCT. 6MT FTW!

That isn't a bad idea at all brother. But to quote information from LeftLane.com :

"Whatever the case, GM has some time to think about it as the Camaro coupe won’t hit the European market until early 2010 with the convertible following a year later."

So that means it would arrive in UK in 2010. Had they said it would be a 2010 model, then I would reasonably assume it would be in the UK by 2009. What say?

In that case I really wish to know whether the stick shift is a wise call. Have you noticed any short comings till now? And also, I think you have the Alpine White M3 , yes? Does it have a near Pearl White effect or is it possible for me to give BMW a sample ? ( I forgot to ask that to the Sales Rep btw) .. I actually opted for Jerez Black with Fox Red Ext. Interior. but am having a double take on that and liking white as a better option.

Yes, that's correct, but to be honest I don't think I would have bought it with the DCT even if it was available at launch. I like three pedals and complete control over the car, even if it means I'm 0.2 secs slower to 100 Km/h from rest AND lose a couple of tenths of a Km/L.

Yeah, my car is Alpine White, extended Fox red interior. The Jerez with Fox red will be very nice as well, but as with any black car it will need to be kept squeaky clean to look its best. Alpine White is the most popular colour for the E92 M3. The only slight complaint I have with the 6MT is that the shift from 1st -> 2nd is slightly notchy. You get used to it though, I just compensate by using more force when I'm shifting hard from 1st to 2nd. I've heard that the DCT cars won't let you aggressively down-shift over certain rpms.

Edit: You can ask for any colour you want if you order through BMW individual, but I would probably avoid that because getting the paint for the inevitable paint jobs will be a time-consuming and costly affair.

Do they offer the interlagos blue on the m3?
IMO, thats the best color BMW has, unfortunatly they don't offer it on the regular 5 series only the m5 or else i would have gone for it in a heart beat.
