I think that's a C200 or C230 Coupe.
It's not a CLK IMO.

You're sort of right. The rear never really gelled with the rest of the car and the plastic bits like the integrated rear lip-spoiler made the upmarket Mercedes feel like a ricer. But I have a thing for quirky designs

The new sports coupe has the same platform and major outerskin shared with this one the only difference is they have given it the current W204 nose and changed the tailight arrangement!? Some old auto tricks never die ah.
