Default AUDI A3 "Sportback"!!!

Have been seeing this car so very often but have never been able to take pictures!! Finally today, i followed the guy and took some pictures..The Fellow was trying extremely hard to lose me but finally gave up after a while!!

Here are the pics. Dippy, i think i was mistaken between this and the RS6!

also, a couple of days ago, i spotted a Q5. Leep your eyes open for it. The Q5 was with this S3 Sportback and a normal A3/S3 twodoor.

@Mods- The first time, the pictures did not appear. Though they uploaded.

Thats not the s3 it the A3.

Very good looking hatch, would do good in india if launched at a reasonable price, but I doubt it will be less than 22l.

Nice catch there Cyrus. i have seen this one and the black one so many times. I have even spotted the Q5 thrice already but have only part snaps of the car, so not posted them.

I just hope that they are on testing for India and not just another test.
There was news about the A3 coming to india in the 14-15 lakh range sometime back

Nope. It is an S3 Sportback . There is small "S" logo on the Side Door trims.

I think that is because it has the S-line package. Kind of like the M package for non M cars.

I didnt see a s3 logo on the back.

But you be the judge since you saw it.

These cars which are running on German plates have veen completely debadged. Even the Standard A3 that is on German plates has no "A3" badge. And neither does the Grey Q5. Also, I think the car had the S3 Steering wheel too if i remember correctly.

The Q5 does have the Badges intact on the rear. they are just taped up so that you cannot see them. Here is the rear for you

@ Spawnofsatan this is the S3. The picture of this is on one of the other threads. My father had also asked the driver once.

Speedy bhai, the Q5 i saw was light grey!! So that means there are two of then!! Even better. Also, there is a normal A3 in white also doing the rounds of bombay in german plates. I think the pics of that car are also in the other thread.

the white car is not a S3 . it has the s-line package .
I am sure as i have driven this particular vehicle .
these cars have been with island city motors(ex Audi dealer) for testing in India for quite some time .
they will go back to Germany once they cover 100000 kms .

The A3 would be a welcome site in India especially if it comes at an attractive price. Then BMW could follow with the 1-series.

I would agree with Mad Monkey. It is indeed a S3 with the S-line package. The S3, the new ones atleast, all come with LED running lights as standard.

Just noticed there is an S-Line badge on the front grill of the A3. Nice find though.
