Imports spotted in Ahmedabad!!

Was driving around due to work whole day and happened to spot quite a few cars around. Quite surprised that no one yet has posted any info on cars in Ahmedabad.

the below listed cars were spotted by me today.

1> BMW X3 * 2 : 1 SILVER 1 BLACK
2> AUDI Q7 * 2 : 1 WHITE 1 BLACK
3> VW BEATLE : SILVER COLOR
4> Maseraati : Cream COLOR. Not sure of model. Brand new. No license plates. know who owns it and is parked outside his office everyday.
5> A white BMW Convertable. Didnt recognize the model. roof down. beautiful car.
6> 1 * 7 series, 1 * 5 series & a 3 series in a parking lot of a office.
7> Spotted a RR (not sure which model) near my office few days a go. license plate number GJ 1 ** 6**. KNOW WHO OWNS IT. but cant name.
8> A friend also saw a different looking Honda Hatch last weekend. Grey in Color. had RED plates on it. No badging was there on the front or the rear except the HONDA Logo.
Not mentioning the number of VW's, AUDI's & BMW's that are there on roads. very common now.

Also the AUDI showroom was officially inaugurated few weeks ago and went there to check out the R8. That beast was mind blowing.....

All cars are spotted at their respective places (either club or offices) everyday. Will surely try to get some pics ASAP.

Really sorry for not clicking any pics as i was driving most of the time and had a client with me.

From what information i got from a reliable source is that there are 3 Bentleys (not sure of models or colors) have been sold in the city and so far i have only managed to see one (owned by a famous builder here).

i too have seen the silver X3 around..some time back i saw a brand new blue m5 at my college gate ate arnound 2 am.
two bmw 7 often come to my college HR registered for conferences

A maserati??.Was it a sedan?.It could be a quattroporte.Ahmedabad has its fair share of exotics it seems.

Silver VW BEATLE & FIAT 500. Guess thats the first 500 in the city. it was brand new. no reg plates on it yet. Got to know from a reliable source that it hit the city only few days ago.VW seems to be quite old. also parked next to VW is the Montero and another car under the cover. This is the same place where the Maseraati was spotted. Hope to spot it again soon and get some pictures. 500 looked damn cool!!!

i am from ahmedabad too. i see these cars almost every other odd day.

now that we have showrooms of BMW, audi, and other coming soon..

these cars will be so common. A4, 3 series, 5 series, BMW is their fav sedan it seems. its taken over mercs and i thing its the new "in thing"

landrover i saw one day was looking amazing. lolz one day i spotted a hummer H2, it came right in front of me.

ooh and the best car till date i spotted was MR. adani's rolce royce phantom. it looks like its million dollars. it actually is lolz.

i am sure its' his because he is the richest guy in ahmedabad isnt he? 5.0 crore car moving around town looks great.
the thing i hate is i see an audi every odd day . i so badly want one

one thing i noticed is amdavadi's are getting into convertibles.

because i have spotted a SL55 amg BMW 650i bmw M3 convertible

audi Q7s are getting comman. i saw two on a single day. coool. a blue and a silver. silver i spotted twice.


what i would like to see well, lambo's and ferrari's. but i think gujju's are more into comfort than being sporty.

there is some car besides the beetle in covers also
any guesses which could that be? culd it be the maserati? or is it small for a maserati

Just to make a clarification, the RR is not owned by Mr. Adani. it is owned by someone else. the electricity tycon. if you read my 1st post, i have mentioned the details. its golden in color. I see that beauty/beast almost every other day as it passes through my work place.

Also spotted a couple of 3/5/7 series/Q7s'/A4/A6 around but they are very common.

Spotted a black MERC convertible, not sure of model. it just flashed by.

get to see a Silver Range Rover outside a builders office very often. Its HR Reg. also saw a Blue Range Rover recently...

I shall upload the pics of the MR2 and various other cars soon. have recently confirmed their locations. Also spotted a NISSAN PATROL yesterday. it had a banner "FOR SALE". not in a great condition.

Besides these exotics there are some vehicles like 92 Chevrolet Astro van ,which is i think hard to find here in india.I spotted one at satellite in Dec 07,but couldn't take a pic of it..

The Maserati is probably the quattraporte model. I had seen it at the same place the Beetle is standing in the above pic. That is Chirag Motors where most premium end cars are found. Mostly heard bad things about them but the cars say otherwise.

Seen a total of 3 Fiat 500's in the city. That definitely aint the first.

Also saw Mazda RX-8 metal grey near Vijay x roads.

Stopped counting the numbers of BMW's, Audi's and Merc's and Volvo's since the share market hit 20K.

Also saw a Fiat Bravo probably but not sure about it.

2 Land Rovers HR registered with one mostly seen at Rajpath club

2 lexus ( a sedan and a prado something)

3 porsche's probably owned by someone named Dipak Handa behind TGB

There's an Orange Hummer in the city has well. Belongs to the Zydus Cadila Group. Haven't got a picture, but I saw it once near Changodar..

Ahmedabad does have a fair share of the premium end cars. i have seen 2 bentleys in recent times. one GT and one arnage. later one owned by Ganesh housing. Know the house where the Orange Hummer is parked but never seen it in flesh properly.

Couple of Lexus Sedan's & SUV's doing rounds in the city.
