| I think the price will be more than 5 lakhs, hyosung launched that Gt650r at 4.65 odd and i bet bajaj will price it not below 5.5 lakhs. But good to see that the 600cc middleweights are finally here! |

Hoping to see Bajaj bring the 250R through CKD route. That would surely heat-up the Indian biking scene! Harleys, Hyosungs and now Ninja! Good deal of options around the 5-7L range! Read this in another forum! Sounds mouth-watering. Quote:

| Senior - BHPian | That is super quick - I think after the success of the 250R they decided to bring in the big brother. Should be 5 lacs or so and not more. Any idea of when the expected launch is. |

| I'm sure this will be a good bike, but wonder why no good bikes are coming out with naked looks, I personally don't like faring on bikes and like naked looks where one can see the engine. A nice naked, fast 500cc plus would be nice. |

| I was wishing that they bring out the Kawasaki Versys! That is one hell of a bike.Non the less now even the 650 is a great bike for everyday use.And maybe later i can do it up with versys suspension and higher handlebar with all the fairing off it.THIS will be my next project bike! |

| Right move by Bajaj, considering that there are enough customers. The news at pro-biking service last evening was the 650R will be released in within the 2 months, the chief mech will be going for the training to Pune end of May/beginning June. Also there is a possibility that the 250R might come with updated graphics in the next lot. And Pro-biking will be dedicated to the Ninja/KTM bikes only. This is what I heard not an official statement . |

| Time for Indian Consumers to enjoy the imports. Looks good. As all say, Ninja should be timed right and priced right. |

The 250R is a CKD. Parts are imported from Thailand and assembled at the Chakan plant in Pune. Quote:
Glad to see the market opening up finally. This should make for a fantastic tourer and the full seat option means touring with the better half which is even more enticing. ![]() I only hope they get more colors instead of just the Green and Black. | ||

| BHPian | so now next one would be from the Gixxer stable the 650 or 700 (whichever is in production nowadays) but awesome to see the middleweight segment opening up. Financially it wont pinch much as compared to above a million rupees ones. India is definitely a different and heavily price conscious market as compared to many other parts of the world, would be interesting to see how Kwacker places itself against better tourers like HD which is available with bigger engines in similar price band. |

| wow.. thats super news, hope they don't launch the 1000CC version, I was in waiting for middle CC powered engine bike. Looking forward to own one. I hope this bike will be available for test ride. EDIT: I read many review on net, everybody suggesting to go with 250 if you just want city commute, it is more fun in a city ride. 650 is good for highway.
