Not a fan of naked bikes, until I saw Duc's pic in your post (the very first one is my fav). Bloody Italians I mutter... they have striked the cord in me.

Not quite sure if get to understand you...

Would a full system mean a ECU remap as well along with a performance airfilter?
Wouldn't a slip on also require the same attention?

One of my friend got a Screaming Eagle Stage 1 for his 48. He was suggested to go the same route with an ECU remap and change of air-filters.

This doubt crossed my mind, don't these bikes have any run in period ? and what is the service interval for it ?

I felt that running in this bike is a joke. Let me illustrate - for the 1st 1000kms, one needs to restrict it to 5500~6000 RPM. and for the next 1500kms, the limit is 7000 RPM. And yesterday, with around 5000 rpm on the needle, I was cruising at 140kmph in 5th gear with another gear to go.

The redline is at 9500 RPM

Pls see above for the run in period.

1st service - 1000 kms
2nd service - 12000 kms
3rd service - 24000 kms....and so on for intervals of 12000 kms.

Aditya - I gave the wrong torque figures. Its actually 78 Nm @ 6250 RPM. And it comes with a slipper clutch.

Nope, am varying. Traffic conditions in Bangalore make it easier

Yesterday morning, rode to Nandi Hills with Bangalore boys including our friendly mod Aditya. I was able to open up a little (nowhere near the limit) and just played around with RPMs and gears. At speeds above 120kmph, I could experience severe wind blast. Further crouched a little and was more comfortable. Dealer tells me the bike cannot be taken faster than 210kmph during which the blast is unbearable with whatever position. The acceleration is very linear and a delight at the signals. Poserboys end up heavily disappointed when trying to race . The twisties of the hills also provided another opportunity to have a go at the handling bit. At tight corners and slow speeds, its sometimes scary because one feels the weight of the bike and has the fear of tipping over. At stretched corners, its a delight to handle. Didn't trying complete leaning yet but did get to move my a** and open my thigh a little wee bit which aided the control.

Met lot of folks on the hills with their BMWs, Augusta, Multistrada and the regular Busas. The Augusta stole the show. I believe Aditya has the pics. It was a great first ride and looking forward to more.
