ET also has the news that Harley is coming to India.

I believe they will make more money on merchandise than on bikes. You would see more people riding Bullets wearing Harley jackets.

The news item also stated that Harley is doing good in China. The demand is more for it's T-Shirts.

no am not trying to compare bulls n harleys..coz all of knows what the fnal verdict will be...

there were some early comments on here regarding bull rollin out some new models but price over 1Lk.... then there were also comments abt the FE tht bulls gives.... i have seen ppl sayin no coz of its price n FE.... if lets says harley is really gonna roll in india... the price for sure will be higher than tht of M800.... n we all know abt harley's FE.... now what am interested is what all gotta say abt this??? how many of u would stand back n say its over priced for a bike n its FE is bad....

Harley, Victory, Buell, and all the custom built choppers in the USA, they all have one thing in common. Character & class. They are provide a person an identity, a group to associate themselves with. You can callit a relegion, or a cult.

Now about the bike.... it sucks big time. It needs constant servicing, degrades a lot wear and tear, and it needs lots of hard work to keep the shine. You can hear the loud crackling sounds of all the parts cooling down when you park the bike after a ride. The Japanese cruisers would be standing beside them quietly, being more powerful, more reliable, more efficient.

Your comparison was with Bullet. My judgement here will depend on how big Harley is going to be. Are they going to have authourized service centers and dealers? Probably not. Then, you dont want to be stuck on the top of Himalayas with a broken Harley, do you?
