I spoke to the showroom guys and was informed that this cost is given by Kawasaki India (which i do not believe). I was also informed that i need to send them the money in advance and then only a technician would be sent to service the vehicle. This is a first for me as payment is generally made after the service is done and not before the guy even leaves his showroom, forget seeing the bike.

I do hope kawasaki opens up more dealerships across the country as the current ones (Delhi and Pune) will take advantage of being a monopoly.
This is quite alarming considering the boffins at Kawasaki were looking keen to step into the Indian market and take on the established brands.

I just simply hate it when a reputed company starts asking for money as advance before any work is carried. Even BMW India have started this. Whats the difference between buying a Maruti 800 and a Kawasaki that costs 17 lakhs (thats almost 4 maruti 800's).

Its time these big brands take the Indian consumer seriously. Also makes me wonder whatever happened to Kawasaki's Bangalore dealership. That was to be established right after the Pune outlet.

Kawasaki India has no hand in this..their bikes are VFM but their dealers are the ones making the most out of a customers helplessness. CRTM of Rs.10k has to be paid if i want delivery of the bike, otherwise one looses the money paid as booking. Booking amount holds no value as the bike is only allocated once the full money is paid for it.

When our cars go to our bombay BMW service centre..the money is paid once you are taking delivery of the car, not before the car even leaves home to go there. Even with maruti i did have to pay in advance..only at delivery, and the Kawasaki 14r is 17.64 ex showroom and then registration in the owners state, my bike with MH-01 registration came to about Rs.20 lakhs.

The manufacturers don't as people don't raise their voices and question them. We have a very " chalta hain " kind of attitude. I questioned them and then came to know the dealership is opening an outlet close to bombay and the service cost would be half of what was quoted to me.

If i remember right the Bangalore dealership was to open along with another state before the 3rd quarter this year, don't know what happened. I have written the Kawasaki India regards to the practice of the Pune dealership and hopping i get some response from them.

The OTR price for the Z800 in Bangalore is around 9.5L, so it's not cheaper than the Street.

Speed Triple comes close to 13 lakhs OTR Bangalore.

A friend recently bought one.

The Z1000 is obviously more expensive and is upwards of 14.5 IIRC

I got a quote for about close to 12 lakhs from triumph for the speed triple. I now need to check if it was the ABS version or not. I however do not think they sold it without the ABS option. Correct me if i'm wrong.

The only Speed Triple version sold in India comes with ABS.

I dont know if this has been posted earlier. Kawasaki have opened their Bangalore showroom in Indiranagar, 100 feet road. Looking to make a visit there this evening. Saw the Z1000, Ninja 1000 and Ninja ZX-10R was on display as i drove past. There was another green beast way in the back...I wonder if its the ZX-14R

Kawasaki Bangalore dealership has ZX-14R, ZX10R, Ninja 1000, Z1000 in showroom. They also provide test ride of Z800.

I recently picked up a Z800 from bangalore showroom. They have service centre in MG Road.
