Default Mv Agusta/ yamaha R1/ Aprilia RSV

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/pdf/102/108988.pdf

MV Agusta edges a hairline agead of the R1 here and Aprilia being a jack of all trades follows behind respectively.

Amazing....the awesome looking Agusta has only just pipped out the R1. Wonder whether the results will stay the same when the R1 is fitted with a slipper clutch and two wheel drive system

and also consider the competition when its not the normal MV F4 but the F4 senna.

I also fine the benelli tornado 1130 equally competitive but there are no roadtests available on this one.

although I'm a die-hard fan of Italian machinery including the Agusta, i'm sure the present R1...with it's 180+ bhp with ram air(compared to the one in the test - 147 bhp), would end up scoring higher than the Agusta if the test was redone today.

both the bikes have been through major upgrades. Mv Agusta F5 is about to be released anytime. and in its present tune Mv is already making 177+.

Not that R1 is bad by any chance. I wouldn't pay the 180% price difference
