I've noticed that too, many of them, Harleys too. Is it because people are done scratching the owning SBK itch ? or is it upgrade or bike/spares/dealership problems ?

Hard to generalize. Most are people who don't use it regularly and would rather reinvest in a car, and a large number that are upgrading to a bigger bike.

I am expecting that in 2015 we can get used 650cc at 3.xx lakhs because of year change. Hope to get some good deal then.

For most people, it would be an itch to upgrade. The 650 is a sport tourer and can munch miles easily but is very linear in engine characteristics and the way it moves. It is fast no doubt but not brutal in acceleration like the inline three's and four's.

Good to know that you are thinking of upgrading again. Triumph's detuning put you off or its coz Ninja's are proven and more pocket friendly?

Both the above reasons, JK.

I was considering the Triumph Street Triple but after all the lies and falsified information that was fed to customers, it shows the integrity of the brand and I'm not spending my money on Triumph. At least for now, they are off my list.

Kawasaki on the other hand has been responsive to customer issues although slow in some stray cases such as sourcing parts or getting their line-up ready in India.

Overall the trust factor with Kawasaki combined with their reliable bikes has me as a very prospective customer.

Let's see how it goes. I've not made any decisions yet.

Guys,

Got a call from KTM Outer Ring Road (also Khivraj) that three bikes have arrived, so I went there today. One was already selected and post the RTO approval, I will get it latest by next Thursday. So am transferring my booking amount from Indiranagar to ORR.

Now the countdown has really begun!

Excellent! Best wishes. Have they registered at least 1 bike in KA? If not, they have to get RTO approval for registration by producing several documents which may take a week or 2.

Venturing in the SBK territory for the first time.

Was thinking of Ninja 300 or Z250. Me being on the heavier side, Ninja 300 would be a tough job to manage rather than enjoying the ride. Settling more on the Z250.

However would like to see the bike in flesh. The Chandigarh dealership did not have. Let's see if I can find it anywhere before I book one.

Just saw this:

Will the Z250 be replaced by Z300 soon in India too?

Btw, the Puig windscreen has arrived and for the price I paid, it really makes me look stupid for having made the decision. Will post pics of it soon. Please go for yamaha fazer windscreens and get them fitted to your bike if you need wind protection. this is just a piece of expensive junk. Am sure the manufacturers are having a good laugh thinking of what a fool they have made out of me. :(((

What happened? Is the quality not good or is the size is not enough?

Well, I am being a price-conscious Asian here, so am sure the quality and size aren't an issue. Now am looking at all the CBR and Yamaha FZ windshields made in India and wondering why I paid a premium for something that could be bought from Shivajinagar. Don't know what I expected, really, but this is light, bendable, and errr, doesn't look like something you want to spend 7 K on. Okay, am behaving like a cheapo here, but if buying a bigger capacity bike means buying everything at a premium, that's a huge dampener.

Has anyone purchased Z250? I haven't seen any ownership threads on any site. Bike has 2 month waiting in Pune.
