Default 2016 Triumph Bonneville spied on test!

The Bonneville is one of Triumph’s best-selling and most iconic models. While the bike’s look has maintained its classic appeal, technological upgrades continue to keep the Bonneville in the running and the next iteration has just been spotted on test.

The biggest change on the 2016 Bonneville is the switch over to liquid cooling as reflected by the large radiator. The test mule in question appears to be in the model’s T100 guise, given the presence of pea-shooter tail-pipes and a double barrel instrument cluster. The wheel speed sensor rings on the disc brakes also indicate the addition of ABS, while the tyres are said to get wider as well.

The image source also states that while the new bike’s engine displacement remains to be seen, the output figures from the parallel twin mill could see a bump up. In terms of styling, the motorcycle looks largely similar to the current model, but will get a few tweaks to differentiate the new model year.

Nice capture.
I also noticed 2 disc brakes in front. looks like braking will be improved significantly.
Current Bonneville has a single disc brake in front.

Looks very nice. I like the dull metal engine casings and black pipes look. Raw.

Should at least get enough horses to rival other modern twins like the Ninja 650.

Nice catch!
Yeah the bonnie was lacking in the ABS department. This, the twin disks and the liquid cooling will make it a formidable competitor once again. few things need to be seen
will these changes be applicable to base version too?
Will India get these as a part of Global upgrade?
Will India still sell the outgoing model side by side to this upgrade?

Sorry for the back to back post. Edit time was over

According to cycleworld.com the new bonnie seen here may be the code-named 'Street Tracker' and a new model 'Street Tracker R' (based on the Bonnie and the Thruxton) These may feature a 1000cc or even a 1200cc parallel twin

There are a host of changes in the design as well as mechanical departments.

Twin front discs and liquid cooling for better braking and a cooler engine; both are non issues for the current breed of Bonnevilles. A bigger engine or significantly more horses seems to be in the pipeline. Going by the history of Bonnevilles a bigger engine it seems.

I also see progressive rear suspension which will be a welcome step since the current setup is a kidney punching tool.
