Default MV Agusta Brutale 1090 priced at Rs. 19.30 lakh

MV Agusta has opened bookings for the Brutale 1090 superbike. The direct import has been priced at Rs. 19.30 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). The motorcycle can be booked on motoroyale.in and the first 10 customers will get the delivery of their bikes in 20 days.

The Brutale 1090 is powered by a 1,078cc, in-line, 4-cylinder DOHC, 16-valve engine that produces 144 BHP @ 10,300 rpm and 112 Nm of torque @ 8,100 rpm. Transmission duties are carried out by a 6-speed gearbox. The claimed top speed of the bike is 265 km/h.

The motorcycle is built on a steel tubular trellis frame with a thermoplastic fairing and uses a single-sided swing-arm with aluminium alloy pivot plates. The Brutale 1090 is supported by Marzocchi upside-down telescopic front forks and gets a Sachs monoshock absorber at the rear.

The bike has a 23L fuel tank and tips the scales at 183 kg (dry). Stopping power up front comes from dual 310 mm disc brakes with Brembo 4-piston calipers, while at the rear, the bike features a 210 mm disc with a Nissin 4-piston caliper. Electronic goodies include an 8-level traction control system and a 2-step ABS (with rear-wheel lift-up mitigation) with 4 in-built maps.

Colours available include Matt Black and Matt White.

Default Re: MV Agusta Brutale 1090 priced at Rs. 19.30 lakh

This is by far my favorite naked bike.

The pricing in my opinion is very high as we all expected. I mean Ducati Diavel is around 15 Lakhs ex showroom and is more powerful and equally exotic and has better after sales support available.

MV desperately needs a cheaper entry level model like Ducati has the scrambler that will bring crowd to their showrooms and atleast get the balance sheets rolling.

I still can think of a few takers for F4 and probably the F3 as well. But no matter how desirable this bike is, I still don't see many takers for this.
