So finally this saga is drawing to a close. Congratulations of the new owners, hope they have received a sweetened deal for their troubles.
And well done to IKM. This will go a long way for Brand Kawasaki.

Cheers

Wow! This is indeed good news, for the owners as well as for IKM. Will go a long way in keeping bran loyalty.

Next bike - Kawasaki much?

Congrats to the new owners, who went through a harrowing experience! Enjoy the ride!

Thank God all went well for the owners, and the trust on Kawasaki goes on...

But what will happen to the guy who took away the demo ZX14R? I guess he will keep his demo bike only, isn't it?

Is IKM bearing the total cost of the motorcycles being delivered to the customers? Because that's how it is being made to look.
Most of these customers had paid just the booking amount with the rogue dealer I guess.

What a relief for these 13 customers! Kudos to Kawasaki for taking this action. I think that online press, tbhp and social media played a significant role in convincing Kawasaki that this is the way to go if they want to keep selling in the Indian market.

The customers do look like a happy lot

Most, if not all, had paid the full amount for the bikes. For many, even their EMIs from banks had started. You will find this information in the first few pages of this post.

Better late than sorry. I believe the rising number of posts on a prestigious forum like TeamBHP along with other social media reached the bosses at Kawasaki Japan headquarters. After the cheating done by SNK followed by debacle done by IKM, this news comes as a positive for Kawasaki enthusiasts like me. Well done Kawasaki!

All is well that ends well.

Hope karma takes its toll on snk palm beach and those responsible

Finally! What an ordeal. Phew. Good job IKM - finally they manned up and did the correct thing. It wasn't just the 13 unfortunate folks who were taking a hit in the process - it was brand Kawasaki as well.

Like the rest of the folks are saying - Better late than never. IKM should tighten dealer enrolment protocols. And hopefully other manufacturers learn from this and there isn't a repeat of this scam (or any other) anytime soon

i like this move from IKM, but again questions raise on will they promise
1. Indian customers will be treated more seriously going forward ?
2. Improve turn around time

Hope Kawasaki had addressed these things specifically to put back trust and make a commitment to Indian market.

Nevertheless, am happy the customers got their bikes.

Default A big thank you to Team-BHP!

A few hundred phone calls, tens of visits to the lawyers office, numerous visits to the showroom, endless thoughts, sleepless nights, months of mental trauma and agony is what it took to get the Japanese Giant to have a dialogue with us and deliver. We thank each and every one who took the efforts to help us in every possible way all the way from giving suggestions to giving us insights to getting us connected with the right people.

Most Important - Our special thanks to Team-BHP - Aditya Nadkarni and his team for hearing us out and ensuring that this thread goes viral. It was only after this thread that India Kawasaki Motors acknowledged publicly that there was an issue in their system and that they would try to resolve it. This thread got the ball rolling in the right direction.

Full story

We also thank all those people who took the time to sign the petitions for us on change.org and who gave . Very well done boys!!! Respect to you all!!! We feel so well loved.

Glad to hear that the problem has been finally resolved, just in time for the riding season.

For a biker, a day without his bike is painful, and to be conned and deprived of your dream bike is mental agony.

Happy days are here again. Only if Kawasaki had responded earlier.
All is well that ends well.
Ride safe.👍

I was glad to see the photos of people along with their bikes being circulated on social sites. Although Kawasaki did the right thing, it is sort of disappointing to note that it takes so much effort to force a manufacturer into action. IMO Kawasaki could have been handled far more efficiently at the very first instance of outbreak.
I shudder to think what would have happened if the post hasn't gone viral.
