Holy crap! You were serious!!!

I believe the Swiss have some excellent sidecar manufacturers. Remember watching a programe on Discovery on them. One of them make a sidecar that allows you to lean into corners as well. Just can't remember the names of the companies though.

Take a look at this site:
ARMEC - SIDEWINDER SIDECAR - True Free Leaning Sidecar Setup

Problem is they can only do this for a BMW or Moto Guzzi. I distinctly remember seeing one on a sportbike as well. Just can't seem to find it now though. But, I think you're better off on a BMW than an R1 really! Only problem is the cost shoots up, as Beemers cost 50% more than the Jap bikes.

Oh ok. You're talking trikes then. Easier to find i guess! Doing that with an R1 of any other superbike would not be a good idea. The extra weight would mean that you need a fairly torquey engine to haul that around.

The Honda Goldwing makes a great platform for a trike, and, I would think be the best for India considering its bulletproof flat 6 engine. Ofcourse, with Harley coming to town, that avenue is open as well.

Take a look at this site: Honda Gold Wing & Yamaha Venture and Tour Deluxe Trike Conversions - Tri-Wing Industries Corporation

Suggestion: Instead of a trike, why not look at an ariel atom. The joys of a motorcycle with the stability and bit more safety of a 4 wheeler.

Edit: We are seriously OT now. Will make a new thread out of these posts.

Now THAT should be something!! Wonderful idea Robeeeeeeen! And sir please get the 300bhp supercharged version, with a power-to-weight ratio of about 1000bhp/ton, it'll redefine quick for most of us car driving mortals

P.S. Would be a lot safer than a bike too!!

I don't think this can either, it's 3-wheeled! Robeeeenn what does the rule exactly say about 3-wheelers? Are they allowed?

Let me look in my big book of regulations! I'm not an importer man!

However, as per motor sport rules, 3 wheelers fall under the motorcycle category. And, I think the same applies for the Govt. import rules as well, though I can't seem to find a clear ruling on this.
