There is a brand new red Harley Street Bob in Mumbai. Spends most of its time in Worli.

It is currently stock, but is going to get LOUDER in the next few weeks, heh.

I have pictures, but I'd rather wait for the owner to post them if he decides to.

Happy spotting!

Spotted this on Richmond Road this morning. I happened to be with the bike all the way from Richmond Road to Jayanagar! The sound from those megaphones was incredible, the way it bounced off the freshly painted walls of namma Lal Bagh!

Well, I've just learned to ignore it now. Far too many SBKs ridden by blokes who detest the thought of gearing-up. It just shows utter disrespect towards riding and the SBK itself!

Nothing but another poser. The only thing these posers do is ride inside the city to make some heads turn and then stop at a cafe to show off.

What i cant fathom is they have money to buy a 10+ lac bike but when it comes to personal safety they dont care. The LS2 helmet costs only around 3.5k and the slippers maybe 100 bucks.

If you really wanted to "pose" wouldn't you go all the way and get some fancy gear? The flip flop look is lame.

@axp817 - i agree with you. you bound to attract far more heads if you dressed in a snazzy joe rocket or alpine star instead of lame bata's. But i guess in India you need to learn to ignore certain things.
What surprises me is how most of the people who dont even own a super bike always have an opinion about someone wearing chappels and riding.

No! I wouldnt get riding gear to pose but to protect myself. Same goes for my pals who ride with me.

I've seen scores of riders on SBK's some even without lid's cos they want to pose.. the helmet doesnt help as they go unrecognized. :(

well i dont own a superbike but i do own a sportsbike. And its not an opinion thats coming off my hat but from experience. I have seen how protective gear can help in saving one's skin (Literally !!!) and the lack of it too. I'll have some pics ready to substantiate my opinion next time i come across a rider who crashed without any gear.

But if you think it's cool to ride an SBK without basic gear, i pray that you dont learn the hard way. peace !!!

It is not about owning a superbike, i wear gloves and a lid all the time while riding, jacket and knee protection during long rides, and never ever ride with chappals, and i dont own no superbike, not even close, its a 180cc pulsar.

What bothers me is after seeing these posers who buy a superbike just because their daddy has spare cash lying everywhere, i think an R1 or a blade would be better deserved by me rather than such bunch of fools with no respect for the bike. And this is the belief of most of the genuine bikers.

@ n aditya and cruiser@0523 - i ve been riding for 16 years now. started with a rd 350 moved to a busa from 2005 to 2009 and now back to the rd 350. I know the importance of riding gear and you ll never find me in chappels and i mean never. But i dont really bother with posers in chappels. some people just learn the hard way.
I am merely stating what i ve observed on this forum.
