That's an 07/08 ZX6R .... worlds best supersport for its year (only by a small margin with the CBR right at its heels! Rode the CBR a few times and know why the Kawi was tops. I wish Honda gave it more mid range, its a pain to wait till 7000rpm for any action to kick in!!)

Sorry to your second question, dont know of any for sale. There is a 2009 GSX-R a friend wants to dispose off for a bigger bike though, may still be around.

@huwaeiguy: I guess Ducati is also part of it, the Monster 796 (technically it isnt 800cc yet), correct me on the understanding here, I think the Kwacker 250 is also a CBU import.
Also, there is an outlet in Pune in MG Road which deals with Suzuki bikes, till last year I had seen them selling Gixxer in other categories than the litre class, not sure they were previous gen or current ones. Upon asking him they said that they import it from Singapore or Malaysia and register the bikes in Haryana and then sell it here.

Altohoncho - You cannot be more wrong. Duc Monster 796 is 803cc. Ninja 250 is a CKD from Thailand.

Huwaeiguy- its got to do with some treaty between the 2 countries. The way Ninja is knocked down and imported here, the Hyosungs are also following the same route. I don't know the damn treaty/rules too and experts can show more light here.

The "R1" above is a modded Karizma for sure..

As for Hyosung bringing in 600cc bikes, here's why: THe govt allows CBU imports of bikes ONLY above 800cc (Thanks to the deal with Harley since their sportster range starts at 883).

Upto 500cc is never an issue (thanks to the RE 500) and that is the bandwagon which the Ninja 250 has jumped on.

How they are bringing in 600cc's : The bikes are coming in lots of CKD units (beginning with 500) and on THAT there is no restriction as the bikes will be assembled here thereby offering some economical benefit to the region where they have a plant, generating employment and other such points WHILE continuing to pay duty. (This is a route that Harley is following starting next month..prices will drop, for those wanting an HD..)

The other interesting piece of information which came my way is that they have already acquired land and machinery and plan to manufacturer some components here leading to a further price drop, in addition to the naked version of the GT650R (Comet's older bro) in the coming months POST launch.

And they're both riding without helmet. Can't imagine doing or seeing any proper sbk rider doing that

OK, if it is a mod job that's pretty decent work except the paint job, it fooled me :-). I hardly see any SBK rider wearing helmet or any other safety gear inside city roads :-(.

From what I know, Hyosung is taking the SKD route. They are setting up a plant and assembling one of their 600cc bikes here. Since it's going to be a SKD, the costs shouldn't be too high and the retail price of the bike should be lower than the the landed-cost (if imported)
