That red piece would be a TLS 1000, the blue & white one in the picture above is a TL1000R. The TLS in Rtech's words is a 'wildchild of a bike', the front wheel would pop almost all the darn time.
The TLR was configured from the TLS for more power to take on the Italian twins back then, but apparently made for a not so fun bike as the TLS.

The TLS you saw was brought down by Suzuki long ago for branding purpose, etc. It was one of the first few bikes to have fuel injection back in 1997.
I was quite around that bike before I bought my Thunderace, but sadly the owner never showed up.

My buddy in Detroit had one of these, and he used to tell me about how he'd get to pop the wheel at the blink of an eye.He almost got caught doing 140mph on the I-75 freeway.4th gear to 3rd,wheel pops and he's literally flying.Cop sees him,but decided to let him go.
The TLS sold,he now has an R1.

The red one was/is in Dadar Parsee Colony if I remember correctly. And the Blue one was more or less for sale it had some aftermarkets if I remember. And I am sure it was the TL. Would love some pics if you have any

The blue and white bike was a TL 1000R, it was in Delhi for quite a while and was loaded with aftermarket stuff. The owner had then upgraded to a bling blue ZX - 12R, this was back in late 2005 if I remember correctly.

The Red bike that you saw around Dadar was a TLS1000, this was in Pune for a short stint before it eventually came down to Mumbai. The bike was there for one of the rides a couple of months back.

If you google some images, the TL1000R is a fully faired bike, and the TLS 1000 is a semi faired bike and has a strong resemblance to the Ducati stable, infact I am quite certain a debadged bike could be percieved to be a Ducati even by the average enthusiast.

WOW. That's fantastic news. Any idea how they price their wares? Do they have a website?

Nitin: One bloke in our gang rides one- a Yellow Triumph - but I'm not sure whether it's a Tiger or Speed Triple. It's a sit-up-and-beg bike with bikini kind of screen that bears startling resemblance in the cockpit view to the one depicted.

Manish may know: he seems to know the entire gang, and if he doesn't know anyone, he certainly has pics of their steeds!

I thought so. The Daytona 675 has the same cockpit.

Haven't contacted them yet but they are also the official dealers for PUIG. Will call them soon and check how they operate.

I've never really been a big fan of the Triumph brand. The only bikes I fancy are the Triumph America & the Rocket.
