Default Ktm Rc8

KTM RC8 - webBikeWorld
KTM is all set to launch the RC8. After all the talk about launching the Super Duke in India, I would rather have the RC8 instead of the Super Duke. I am hoping to get a first hand view at the Long Beach Motorcycle show next month.

It seems that KTM has retained its "edgy" styling theme on this one too. But no ones complaining, it looks good!
Superduke or RC8... I'll br glad if even one of them makes it here.

How much for it ?
I think it is competition for Ducati. I hope they launch it on track in SBK.

I'm sure its a matter of time,dustdevil.. Anything & almost everything made overseas makes it to Indian shores.

Such rumours have done the rounds atleast a zillion times before, ending in nothing but sheer disappointment. No company wants to risk their balance sheets for a couple of "real" enthusiasts. But, lets hope for the best! Thats the most we could do!

I'm not talking about a specific company getting these bikes into the country. As is the case with 1000s of other bikes, people import them on their own. Same way, someone will get the KTM bikes to India, privately.
There's no hope what so ever for a direct entry by KTM.

Dude i've got this one as my wallpaper i've been going bonkers about ktm's lately especially the superduke.

Anyway I spoke to a KTM dealer in Indianapolis and he has to say that the RC8 will cost close to 40K USD?!!! Is that true? I thought he'd lost it!

$40k??? Thats insane!! No one's gonna buy such an expensive sports bike. Touring or choppers..yes. But not a KTM!
I'd guess it'll be close to the $12-15K range.

You can find $14K deals for the superduke. 2007 KTM New Bike Prices
For the RC8 the UK pricing is supposedly 11.5 Euros = 17.5 USD, on par with 1098. Which is kind of expected. They will pitch it against an Italian exotic, and not much cheaper japs. (which can always whoop the asses of these exotics) If you want to get the RC8 before the US launch, expect to spend some stupid money.

When I said 40K i meant for the RC8. But obviously he was wrong 17.5 seems better. Closer to Aprilias and Ducatis'. I ran by a nearby KTM dealer on Saturday and saw the Superduke for the first time in person. And 14.5K is what the sticker (rather a lil tag on the clip on) said.

$14K-16K is a decent price tag. Go higher than that, and I don't see any takers.

Ithink it should be around the 17k mark, more to match the Augusta MV than the Ducati 1098
