Guys, can someone tell me why the exhausts are pointing to the front of the bike? And also why is the headlight red in colour?

the R1 used to look good till the year 2003. The post-03 front fairings suck big time especially the latest one. it looks bug eyed with those huge ugly headlamps.

the bike looks decent except for the tail and exhausts. the front looks too sophisticated for the busa.

@moralfibre: are u talking about the headlight or the taillight?

The busa will never look pretty because the main aim for suzuki is to make it the fastest.

bike looks decent except for some aerodynamics which didn't make it flashy.but its fastest from suzuki thats what suzuki cares about because it already has a good reputation among superbikes.

Saw a blue one on MG Road this morning. Stuck in a jam.

Was in the left most lane with loads of other desi bikes/scooters surrounding him. Trying his best to get ahead, crawling at a speed of 5 km/hr. Almost felt sorry for the lad.. then realized he's driving a Ha-ya-busa.

The 08 seemed to have a much more smoother suspension. The handlebar damping seemed to have improved. When it comes to long rides, the hayabusas are a much better option compared to the R1. After a riding for a couple days its going to be coverd in dirt and bugs anyways, and thats the look that appeals me the most. Shiny bikes are for the showrooms, and dirty bikes are for the roads! cheers:

I saw another '08 Busa yesterday. From a distance, its tough to make out if its the 08 or the 07. Its only at close range that the differences can be spotted..

The look is just a SNOB factor for the true rider. Once you are on the bike all you can think of is how much torque & bhp the bike can serve you, & how you can use & tame every bit of it.
This is an amazing machine built purely for SPEED, it claims a 198bhp output.

Excerpt from a review:
The 2008 model is 1340cc and features 12% higher engine performance from its four stroke, four cylinder, liquid cooled engine. With a dry weight (no fuel) of 220 kg, this is a monster. This is the bike to drive if you want to leave a Ferrari in your rearview. A turbocharged version set the street bike speed record of 411.68km/h. Just remember, at over 300 km/h with no seatbelts, airbags, roll cage or vehicle body to protect you, your body is the crumple zone and inertia is not your friend. If you have the skills and the insurance to handle one of these, you are in for a wild, wild time.

Most of the so called RIDERS I know would piss in their pants by hitting only 140kmph.
I have touched 160kmph on my CB400sf for a whole 15 mins on the Kolhapur highway & DAMN the feeling is awesome.
Guys, the last thing you will worry about is how the bike looks.
BTW, it looks much better in black, blue & the orange & black dual paint.
JAI HAYABUSA !!!
