Default A few pictures of my Honda CBR Fireblade

Since I moved to UK always wanted to ride.I did not want to jump straight in and buy a superbike but work my way up and get used to the power. The first bike was a ZZR 400 import next up R6 and Daytona 600 then a GSXR and finally now the Blade.

the crew. I loved that GSXR.

Very tidy 09 blade Sem80 have you fitted a PCv or is it bog standard?
Incidentally whats your oil consumption like as these models are renowned oil burners.

bog standard at the moment. No problem with oil consumption at all. the running in was done as per the manual plus an extra 200 miles.
Not sure if I want to keep it at the moment . leaning towards the K1300S BMW. more sports tourer then all out supersport

This ones an '08 and only the '08's were know to burn oil (that too not all of them). No '09 onwards bikes with the problem.

It was 2005. GSXR 600 20th anniversary .
Special 20th anniversary colors and graphics with numbered emblem and special ignition key - Black muffler with racing style end cap and 20th Anniversary logo - Vortex grooved brake discs - Racing-style sliders - Special colored windscreen - Iridium spark plugs - Blue colored chain
I had changed the can to a titanium yoshimura with a power commander. Part exchanged it with the blade.

Many reports of both the 08-09 have come through as being oil guzzlers only one on both the 08-9 reported consumption as normal. The technical difference that may account is that from 08 onwards the pistons were much lighter than 04-07 models which did not suffer from this affliction. Did several big bores on road bikes which never came up to expectations is that these were racing pistons and the volume mass expansion needed for the piston could not be reached with a road bike.
