Yeah, I too got the same answer when negotiating for either freebees or discount on Innova VX. (I ended up changing my booking to Ertiga but that's a different story). They said that they don't even give floor mats for free

First show some kind of commitment that you are going to buy and start negotiating with cheque book in your hand. I am sure you will get some accessory for sure.
I did it in many occasions and it worked

I got door mats and wheel guards free in the month of April (Financial year end so that might have been a factor).

Forgive my ignorance, by door mats are you referring to Floor mats? And by wheel guards to mud flaps?
