Innova / Tavera / Scorpio

I am planning to buy an MUV, basically I need a vehicle which can accomodate 6-8 people comfortably and can be driven to office daily (10 kms one way in Bangalore). Now I am prettly much confused between Innova, Tavera and Scorpio.

Currenlty I own a Alto Lxi, the best car you can get for 3 lacs, I am pretty impressed with Alto's performance and FE in bangalore traffic. Now looking at the MUVs, I am actually scared if I will be able to drive it around easily. Any way I have decided to buy now, but need help from people who already own any of the vehicles I have mentioned. I need your views / feedback in terms of handling / FE and maintainance. Finaly my budget is 8L ex-showrrom.

I dont think Scorpio is an MUV its an SUV

hey ,personally i would go for the scorpio...it looks nice,it performs well too,i hate the way innova looks...my dad even calls it a premature baby.the interiors of the tavera are too dated,its not that quick either...but lookin at ur need i think the innova fits like a glove

Yes!!! The New Scorpio rockkks!Looks wise and engine wise also.It's got a great road presence.My friend uses one Scorpio(not new)and he's happy that he bought that.May be Tavera's maitenance is cheap,dunno if its true. But Tavera's loks sucks.Innova is too big to drive in city and parking would be a major concern.And it doesnt look good either.
So go for the New Scorpio,its around 9lacs on road for the Top end model(with alloys!!!).

If you want good FE go for Tavera but I tell you I love Innova coz it has super brakes and excellent road grip.

Definitely recommend the Innova if its handling you like....MOst carlike... and very confidence inspiring... lot more space too!.. Toyota fit and finish will any day be better than the Mahindra's... AND if you want to bust eveyone on the road.. Just add a Petes Box!!..

Guys, amongst Innova/Scorpio/Tavera top-end models, which has the most comfortable seats especially the middle-row.

which has the best suspensions at low-speeds.

and which has the highest GC?

6-8 people? Forget scorpio. If its 8 people, innova wins. If its 6 then its between the tavera and innova depending on how much are you willing to pay, and are you looking for a more taxish thingy or a modern design.
Engine wise Innova is better and its also a more recent introduction in the market
Resale value wise it will always sell better than the GMs

I am planning to take Scorpio. Can you let me know the advantages and disadvantages of Scorpio. Is it right choice to take Scorpio?

We are six in my falimy. So we need at least 6 seaters car and my budject is 8 lakhs(Maximum). So I have selected this one. There is no other reason to select this and I have zero knowledge in this area. So please guide me. If you want suggest me something else, feel free to give suggestions.

Any kind of advice will be appreciated.

6 would be a tight fit for scorpio I guess and I never liked its stability. Look at Tavera or Innova.

The latest Facelifted Scorpio has significant changes in it. Including changes in the suspension of the car.

The stability has increased dramatically and This has made the Scorpio much better to drive.

I recently went through three magazines about the new scorpio

• Overdrive
• Autocar India
• BBC India

All the three magazines were of the opinion that the handling and stability of the scorpio has increased dramatically

• If carrying more people is the prime concern then the innova would be a better choice. But the Innova is sort to big to drive in the city.

• The scoprio is more nimble and is easy to drive and park in the city. Plus it has Handsome Looks too.

The magazines praised the powerful and quite refined engine of the Scorpio.The changes to the Scorpio comes at no extra price.

Moreover it's an INDIAN PRODUCT guys. Buy Swadeshi..

My prime concern is safety for 6 family members and of course comfort. Did someone say Sumo Victa?
