TBHPians, I haven't seen much on the sunroof as an accessory on the discussion threads. Any specific reason ? Would appreciate your inputs.

Where are you getting the accessories from ? How much would the reversing cam cost ?

Happy reclaiming !!!
Huh, why the EX, but the LX. You are removing roof mount AC anyways why do you want to spend an extra 1 lakh!!?

Default Zeroing-in on Safari, Advice needed

Hey tsk,

I wish LX 4x4 were still available. I have been told by both Prerana & Concorde (in Bangalore) that 4x4 version of LX is discontinued. If any of the TBHPians can throw some more light on this.

Godfather, I will keep in mind the offer for the roof-mount A/C. I was intending to talk to you for some other things.

check with concorde or Manipal, see if they have a LX 4x4. This is surprising that LX 4x4 has been discontinued!

Well if you see them with all those testing equipments clamped on it , there will be still few months before it will be launched, but if you just see them driving around with covers all around its body, it will be out pretty soon.

On a lighter note, why dont you stop one and ask them for the launch dates, there are quite a few of us waiting to get our hands on the 2.2 DICOR

Even Mahindra has done something similar with the Scorpio. The 4x4 option is only available in the top end SLX model - which is stupid!

Why would someone wanna buy body color (dual tone) cladding and then take it offroading?. specially going through bushes / forests can scratch the paint

I dont think the LX 4x4 is discontinued.. Let me also talk to my sources in Prerana.. The main thing being that the companies dont keep stock of the LX4x4 variants.. very few people are willing to spend that extra 1L for a 4x4 variants.. so they will have to order one from the company..this usually takes a month and transport headaches..so the dealers most probably dont want all this headaches.

I have not given you on offer yet on the roof-mount A/C.. tell me the price.

Wow.. this is news to me.. Why would they do that.. Safari was the only SUV offering the 4x4 version across all the variants

This one is not, its fresh as of yesterday. It suggests both M&M and TATA will come with the 2.2 by June-July 07.
