wow thats good you got bridgestone. birthankar are you going to get a petes box in the near future? if you are then get 225/60 r15 otherwise 205/65 r15 is perfect. its hankook not hankock.and i wouldnt take the hankooks. find out how much michelin mxv8s in the stock size are. which alloys are you getting for 16k?

Alloys are 'Neo' and a set of 4.

I am not getting the petes' box immediately... maybe after a year I'll take stage 1.

well i wouldnt take neo wheels simply becuase theyre designs are boring. its not that their quality is any better or worse than other brands like hr, plati etc.

if your not getting the petes box now i suggest you get michelin mxv8s in the stock size. you dont need any wider tyres. i would take these over the hankook. and ive done over 150kmph on the stock size and its perfectly stable.

225/60 R15 MXV8 Michellin will cost around 6800 thats true, stock size Michellins XM+ would cost 5000/- range where stock size mxv8 should be 400 rs more.

I suggest you get 5 alloys instead of 4 because if you need 1 alloy in future it might be difficult to find after few years.

I suggest Plati have got very good designs may be PY503, 504, 515 etc.. are very nice but make sure alloys you choose suits innova's PCD, ET specifications etc..

I suggest try to sell the Steel stock RIMS to toyota dealer because when i checked they sell new one for 1900/- each. So they might take your Stock RIMS for 500/- each at least.

Bought the G1 Black finally with 72K discount... no accessories etc.

Walked into the showroom yesterday at 12.pm (Didnt make booking even till then)

Paid DP thru netbanking by 2 Pm. Signed Loan agreement....took delivery at 3.30 pm...thanks to the coordinated efforts of the team there...who initiated the PDI in front of me while I was negotiating the final discount.

After Pujas ....etc. drove off at 5 pm... voila

(I had been telling these guys(dealer) and their Sales Manager that I had once upon a time been working as a Sales Exec, in Maruti...so I know whats what and how the sale process goes....) Guess they paid heed to that and concerted the entire process.

P.S. - You still havnt answered why you take the underbody pics? Would like to know if it helps in any way.

Hey just call me when any one needs a car. This consultancy is FREE for all TBHP Patrons. My this purchase was a paced, careful decision and a test of my 7 yr old working knowledge.

Underbody pictures? They are very important. They allow u to see what are the vital parts of the car. Once in a while (say yearly) if u take pics of suspension parts, link, ball joints, bellows etc. with a hi-pixel camera, u can inspect the damages and aeging on photo itself. That is if u love ur car.

Ok... my requirement for alloys are only for aesthetics. the BS tyres are okay.. as per initial feel. Alloys ...I got a tyre dealer friend in Kol...who'll give me a good deal/../// that is when I land there in May 2008.

That 5 instead of 4 seems wise.. but how will I lose 1 wheel other than theft?

there is a 1% chance it might crack or something. and the manufacturer might not be making that same rim design. but if your on a budget go for 4.

any alloy will fit in the stepney.

you open the tookkit which is right next to the jack inside that little storage area on the left side of the boot. then join those 2/3 rods together. then just above the bumper in the centre youll see a hole. put the joined rods in the hole (this is sounding cheesy. lol) and the hook on one end of the rod should hook onto something inside the hole. then turn either left or right.

Have been using a 4 alloys set and i doubt there will be any difference as even if damages are done, mostly rubber will take the impact and rim wont get damaged apart from scratches and so on.

But yes, that 1% chance is there, so if you get a good deal for 5 then why not
