@ GTO - Is it true for all Jeeps? How about properly restored, stock 4X4s? Are they reliable or do they need constant visits to the mechanic?

Yup, pretty much all old Jeeps will require a certain amount of time & maintenance. They aren't (obviously) as trouble free as a Maruti Swift.

decided to get hold of some old jeep and try to bring it up to shape. any idea how much it would cost to fix the mechanicals etc ?
