I am looking for a Sumo. My choice is very clear. Sumo Victa DI Turbo.
Considering the high show room value and high depreciation of the brand,
I am seriously thinking of a good second hand one. I expect a 1-2 year old one
clocked below 50 K will be available for around 3 lakhs..
That is : for less than half the showroom price. For DI engine,
even tata is offering 3 lakh kms warranty for the engine !!! 50 K running is nothing for the engine.
Take care to choose a private vehicle, NOT TAXI OPERATED.

I remember to have read that Tata Sumo 'Spacio Gold Plus' is having AC and
Power Steering option. Kindly check with the following thread.
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...ts-spacio.html (Tata Motors launches upgraded variants of Spacio)
Also, I understand,
It is powered by the same 3 litre DI engine as in the Spacio. If this is correct, then Better buy
Spacio Gold Plus than buying normal spacio and then installing a third party AC.
One more point. Installing a good AC in Sumo will cost you nearly 40 K.
You were mentioning that you have driven the Non-PowerSteering vehicle
for about 40 kms and found acceptable. I recommend that you should also drive 40 kms
with a sumo spacio with Power Steering option, then only you can really compare between the two.
Installing the power steering in a sumo 'may' cost you another 50 K.
But, in the second hand market, spacio and spacio gold are holding almost the same market value !!!
So, better search for a sumo spacio gold plus or sumo victa DI Turbo in the second hand market. Please correct me, if I am wrong anywhere in the specs above.
