When I tried connecting to Team-BHP - The Definitive Indian Car Community (m.team-bhp.com) from my Samsung Windows mobile (on opera browser), I got an error as URL not available. Has anyone faced similar issue?

Is there any T Bhp widget available for Windows mobile phones?

Hi. A friend of mine with the handle xtremeshock recently created a new thread that I can't access. This is the link to his thread on team-bhp (Skoda Rapid - A Skoda Fans New Toy). However, I can't see this thread on my PC. When I log in with my mobile phone, it works (but I cant see any of the pictures).

The error message I get when I try viewing the thread on my PC is that I do not have the necessary permissions to see his thread. But I don't see how that can be possible as we both have bhp-ian levels of access!

Just tried the link. Looks like, the thread is in 'Assembly Line' because of which it is not available to anybody other than your friend and the Mods. If your friend is done with his writeup, ask him to get his thread moved out of the Assembly Line so that it is visible to all. Hope this helps.

Yep, the thread has been moved to the Assembly line as SDP has said.

Your phone is probably loading all the text from cache. If you clear cache, or refresh it many times - you'll probably get the same "permission denied" message.

This is real cool initiative, sometimes the app does not come up for keeps loosing connection for some reason. The mobile web view will be handy in that case. I used to use the normal web channel through my smart phone if the app does not respond. Tried loading it just now, because its light weight its quiet fast as well.

Hello All,

I am using Samsung Monte (S5620) phone & it has Dolphin 1.5 Browser.

I can access Team BHP Mobile site perfectly from my mobile & also view all the Thread easily. I am also notified about Private Message that I have received & I can open them & read them.

But the only problem is when I reply to any PM's or send a PM to someone, it is not supporting. Thus I have to start my laptop connect to internet & then reply to the PM. Has anyone faced this problem? If yes, can you please share a possible solution.

Thanks,

The site does not show properly on IE9 running on Windows Phone 7. Everything looks really small. It's almost as if the size of all elements is hard coded. Screenshot attached.

you can actually zoom in.

the actual problem is, the auto sizing and text wrap around is not working. ideally, if you double tap on the text content, then it will zoom out and the text lines will wrap around.

this is not happening with team-bhp mobile site.

T-BHP mobile site is just perfect for me and now the ratio of my surfing the site via mobile and laptop is 60:40.
I have noticed that when I post some reply via my BlackBerry, my post doesn't include my signature and it includes it when posted via any computer/laptop.
Is it normal or am I missing some setting.
Mods pls help.

Hi Jignesh,

I just tested opening and replying to a PM, and it worked fine + the PM went through.

Are you still facing this issue? Could you try clearing your browser cache for what its worth? Maybe try another mobile browser too as we haven't heard any others report a problem like this.

Alternatively you could just switch the skin on your mobile browser? Or do you have the same problem in all skins?

Do you have this issue on other browsers too?

Its working for me.

This is usually a browser feature / setting. Are you sure text wrap (re-flow) is happening on other sites in the same browser you're currently using?

Sorry, doesn't look like it for now.

User CP > Edit Signature > enter signature > Save.

EDIT: Oops. Sorry, even though this menu exists, posts from mobile (including apps) don't display signatures.

Reehan, always wondered, why the mobile theme provides option to edit signature, but does not include the signature while replying.

Edit. Posted the above from mobile, but did not include the signature. I even tried the steps you mentioned thinking it would do some 'magic'

Hi @Rehan,
Any possibility/option for attaching pictures via the mobile interface?

I believe the android app has this option, would be quite a useful feature for the normal mobile interface too.

Is this the same site I see using the TBHP android app? If so the experience is very poor. For one thing - I want to see the same "new posts" view that I see when browsing from desktop. Instead I am presented with all kinds of confusing menu like
Team-BHP
BHP India
BHP Worldwide
Under the Hood
Buckle UP
Around the corner

??? Whats all this? Where can I find the regular forums like 4x4 offloading or Technical stuff or Mods & Accessories which I am used to seeing from the desktop? Why was a decision made to present an unfamiliar view to mobile users that leaves a user confused about how to navigate the site?
