We reached TVM by arnd 8:45-9. We were catchin up with a Police jeep which had its lights on and that played as an escort for the JBLfy car

As Steeroid pointed out; I guess there shouldnt be any more of the boat trips + dinner setup..no commitments for the evenings. And also , maybe we should start the meet a bit earlier. The test drives took away sometime which could have been used for a early boat trip. I guess one becomes better by making mistakes and avoiding it a second time.

Meets should happen atleast once in a month but with proper planning. A new location everytime sure tempts me. Next time it should be well arranged so that tbhpians from same geographical are can meet at a meeting point enroute and continue their journey to the meet destination. Also, maybe this will help reduce the fuels bills on one and will also provide company to a lonely driver. I suggest that someone from each district act as a group head and coordinate for the same.

KB100 maybe visiting Trivandrum sometime next month and if so, there can be a Trivandrum meet.

I got a few PM's and it seems many couldnt make it as teh meet was planned within a weeks time. Apologies guys and gals, who couldnt make it coz of the short period notice.

Himanshu, thanks for arranging the Cedia test drive. And Kphilip ..thanks yaar.

How many would like to have a Team-Bhp Sticker? I am thinking of getting some printed/cut. Will post the cost later or PM tbhpains who are interested

Thumbs up My account...

Hi Guys,The meet sure was fun, and am still trying to memorise some of the screen names with the faces I met Me and KB100 planned to start by 7:30 in the morning and realised that his car had a flat tyre so we ran around town trying to find a shop that was open to get it fixed and it was a little after 10 by the time we left Cbe finally. Now, I should give credit to KB100 for his driving.... we made it to Cochin in 3 hours flat. Not to mention I had seen many a lorry's chasis number by that time . Surprising thing is, he never did more than 120.... that too occassionally, with the constant 100's.. I guess that is the key in highway driving, not the rash, ZIP-BRAKE-ZIP AGAIN kind of driving....So, you all know what happened in the first half of the meet... Hope you can see the look on Shuhaib's face (in the pics) when his K&N Swift did more test drives than the Cedia and the Optra combined... man I am impressed !!!CaliforniaKnight: Sorry pal, but we did not know you had a killer ICE setup. Sure will check it out next time. Hope you also soup it up with some performance mods by then... Steer was kind enough to invite us guys to his home for dinner and saved the day for us. I should specially thank his son and his wife for being wonderful hosts.Having driven all the way down to Cochin, KB thought it might be a good idea to check on Pete's box so we set up a meeting with Peter (TurboIndia) the next day. Well... the rest is history now, KB100 ended up buying the Pete's box and I very distinctly remember the wicked smile in his face everytime he overtook vehicles on the road, as if they were stationery... too bad Pete does not have anything for the City :(... well... he actually did have the tyre air pressure indicators, which was all I could get.Me and KB100 finally made it home by 9:30 PM on SUNDAY, after spending the day running around with the CRDi first with Pete's box and then spending time at the MGF Hyundai service centre for some minor plumbing work... I am sure KB100 will post a separate message on his Pete's box when he lands on earth again... till then..... let him have fun..... godspeed !!!

Thats quite surprising...I was there with family at 12 noon. Hung around for a while waiting for someone to turn up and then realized that my phone had gone dead - I went back home at about 12.30 to pick up my charger (which is when JK landed up).

The board outside the Lounge initially said "Mr. Santhosh - Meeting. Sunrise Lounge" I had it changed to "Team BHP Meeting - Sunrise Lounge" before you guys turned up.

alright guess everyone agrees that the cedia was no match for shuhaib's swift!!and so do i!!after driving the swift, the cedia was so boring!!sorry pal but i revved the swift like crazy.but you have a hell of a car shuhaib!!deadly!
i agree with steeroid-we should arrange some drive for our next meet.driving together on some decent stretch of road will be real fun.and yes we should have more frequent meets.
about the losses steeroid had to incur i apologise but i had to go.period!!there was no way i could stay.next time round i guess we will avoid some of these things and instead arrange the drive which will be less expensive too.

Next time guys, pleeeeze take care to block off your time for meets like this so that we all could enjoy ourselves to the fullest extent, in full strength-without any dropouts . No fun in just sitting around and chatting. You need a crowd and noise, guys!

And someone mentioned Optra? Well we'd been expecting a 1.8 one, but our pal turned up in a 1.6 one. And the drive? Well, nothing much to write home about. Decent pickup, good brakes, OK aircon, notchy gearshift.

And then of course, shuhaib's Swift...Well, it WAS swift, period.

Nice meet with good pics n reviews.....Keep the momentum going...
I think Swift with monster filter n Jbl Xing were the main attraction....
Will try to make it to some meet next time....
