What's this outsider girly gang? Or did I miss something?

For the record, the toilets at Sunny's suck. For the quality of crowd I saw there the toilets and the wash basin, especially, was a huge letdown.

ROFL and add to that the fact they were asking a bunch of guys whether the place was hospitable for girls- which guy in his right mind would say "No!!"

True that about the toilets!

Well, there was a bunch of 5 girls who drew up in a silver grey Corolla Altis; a little after we arrived Sunny's; but you didn't miss much from where I stood.

The same girly gang was seating at the table where GTO sat later-on.
As 1self sat at the bujuwala table of the girly gang, the gang winded up their meet and just zoomed off with their glasses and purses.

Aw, too bad. We could have enrolled them into TBHP!

Another problem (this one is a possible cause) is we chose to get 'normal' water at Sunny's, instead of the option for bottled water. Monday morning onwards for two days I have been having severe loose motion, stomach ache and gas trouble. I wonder if the water at Sunny's was the culprit. My wife too suffered on Monday from the same illness.

Photos are in process and hopefully if they are presentable I can upload them by the week-end.

We don't need details You could just say your sick lol.

Why did you not go for bottled water? I recall all the tables having bottled water.

sorry for the details, I forgot nobody would like to hear the exhaust notes in this case.

But if everyeone else went for bottled water, at least I can now pinpoint the cause of the sickness. Point to be taken: bottled water it is next time on!

Let me mention on my earlier meets, at Manas (Igatpuri), Oye Punjabi (Kalyan - Nashik road) and at Ramkrishna (Lonavla) we were just fine with the water served at the venue, so maybe Sunny should think of going for a water filter?

Pls clarify which photos are you referring to.

I am sure you will think twice before opting for normal water anywhere outside now.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you both get well soon.

I haven't raise this issue before but I suffered severe digestion problems for 4-5 days after last year's Sunny meet. Since most of the other people who were there seemed absolutely fine, I attributed it to the vada pao that only I had eaten at Joshi Wadewale en route.

No issues this year, though. We even avoided the ice at this time's meet because who knows where it had come from? In general packaged drinking water is preferable to ordinary water because the source is always dicey.

Thanks for the wishes, we both are well now (thankfully it didn't result into something major).

While leaving Sunny's, I wanted to have a quick glass of water. Since my glass was empty I poured water from the nearby tumbler into it and just as I was about to drink it I found some solid substances floating in the water. My wife even remarked it looked as if someone had squeezed a lemon into the water. I didn't drink it though, but I think the damage had already been done.

Mind you, this is the first instance of such a thing happening. We have been to many other hotels, including Lonavala and Matheran where we chose not to order bottled water, and we have generally been fine. But I shall remember next time.

Honeybee
Hi.
With a little bit of an effort(it doesnt take more than that) they could have kept it clean.Reflects badly.
On my recent trip to north west Gujarat I found that all the hotels where I stayed had installed RO filters. The same were serviced and the membrane changed weekly/fortnightly.
Regards

Here are the photos from my camera. Some are out of focus, unfortunately.

Let me remark it's difficult to photograph the meet for the various restrictions in place, so it's quite a challenge to photograph the members seated at tables, enjoying the food. Something I look forward to in the next meet.

That "another Punekar" is actually our newest mod - noopster!

You better ask to edit your post and add his name instead of another punkear!

Panga with mods?

Just kidding.
