The intro would include the person's handle on TBHP, real name, occupation and place of residence. Any other info such as hobbies etc. could be included as long as the whole intro is one minute. Someone could, preferably, document this too.

1] All are official photographer. Capture the momemts in your camera, post it here in the meetlogue.
2] Introduction; everyone do it but i am sure that many can't remember the names of more than 10 guys after the meet is over.

Yes, everybody can of course do that, however if this is formally done, you ensure at least a few guys do the job thoroughly.

With intros, I attended my first meet at the start of the year and there were no formal introductions. So it was really difficult to go around introducing yourself to each and every member present. If we can have a small intro session while the food arrives, it will really help break ice.

Seeing the trend and culture at previous meets, I dont think this is possible. Imagine 45+ bhpians with their amazing rides, plus the lost friends meeting after a year, they are again lost in the splendid times

While that's natural to happen at such a meet, isn't this also an opportunity to meet the new members? Just look at the enthusiasm of some of the members at the thought of attending their first meet! Heck, I would have been one of them had I not already attended a couple of meets, and then again I don't know many members!

Unless we introduce some feature like this, it will be difficult to get the new members to gell, particularly introverts like me.

you can have name tags with your tbhp handles near your shirt pocket. and one really needs to talk to people proactively as most are busy catching up on long lost stories, mods, accidents, TLs & general experiences.

the buzz is too much though some kind bhpians do come up and speak to newbies. and sometimes to non bhpians too, as happened at the last meet. or probably happens at every meet!

I dont think a designated photographer is required. we usually spend a few pages on this thread later trying to spot faces. a good way to relive all the fun.

+1. Senior bhpians should take note of this. It makes sense to have session of introduction among everyone who have come over for the meet. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of the meet. Old bhpians surely know each other but what about the newbies who are all exited about the 1st meet, it shouldn't be a downer for them.

It's just like having yourself & everyone introduced to the new teacher in the classroom of 60 students.

^^ agree. IRS the way a certain bike( ) forum does things and it does make sense.
Also just putting this out there. How about we find a good place and eat some nicely cooked food. I'm nt a good cook(not even a cook) but this way we can have the safety for the wivess. They can sit in the car/s if need be or sit under the open sky with us. We can light a fire and just talk/catch up.

Remember last year's mega meet at Toni da dhaba?
Some member walked in and asked a person for his handle. That person replied "no no..I'm Toni, the owner of this place!"

Good one Satyen. The owner should have joined T-BHP after that though :P

I missed the last mega-meet. I'm positive about making it this time.

Cheers,
Yogesh.

My experience from the last meet is that everyone gets along very well with the group without any formal introduction. Let's not keep too many formalities. Even first timers like me didn't have any problem at the last meet.

Yep. Senior BHPians please do make a note of it. There are some regulars at the meet to are at home in no time once the crowd gathers but at times, the newbies are left with the whom-should-I-go-n-talk feeling which might actually make them feel lost in crowd. Think about this, how does it matter to invest 10 mins by giving a short intro highlighting your:

1) TBHP handle.
2) Real name.
3) Hobbies.

It's an instant ice breaker. Give it a thought...
