Excellent snaps Sanjay and Abhishek. Though most of my photos were not that great, I did manage to get decent shots of the rides!

Few from my end:

Starting with SDP's Duma at start of sealink
Fortnightly mini-meet : Mumbai BHPians-img_4068.jpg

Though few of us had planned to get some long exposures, somehow it didn't work out well for me. The only "decent" snap I could manage
Fortnightly mini-meet : Mumbai BHPians-img_4069.jpg

Convoy parked at Worli seaface:
Starting with Swapnil's City, Sid's Vento, SDP's XUV500, my i10 hidden behind XUV , Jignesh's WagonR, Kiran's City, Yogesh's Zen
Fortnightly mini-meet : Mumbai BHPians-img_4073.jpg

Rest of the cars:
Starting with Raghav's FFE Swift, Abhishek's City, Arun's Jazz and Saket's Yeti
Fortnightly mini-meet : Mumbai BHPians-img_4074.jpg

Raghav's Swift and Abhishek's City illuminated by trailing lights
Fortnightly mini-meet : Mumbai BHPians-img_4075.jpg

Convoy from another angle
Swapnil's City, Sid's Vento, SDP's XUV500, my i10 again hidden behind giant XUV , Jignesh's WagonR, Kiran and Yogesh's City and Zen at the far end

Raghav's Swift-nice alloys there, followed by City and Yeti

And then, the star of the night arrives in style! Esmail's Polo GT

GT! Name says it all
Fortnightly mini-meet : Mumbai BHPians-img_4080.jpg

Another shot of GT and Swapnil's City

Wonderful pictures SDP, Abhishek & Kailash.

It was indeed a great idea to have a mid-might meet. Probably the only time in Mumbai when one can enjoy the drive & witness the beauty of this city.

Also it was amazing to see 13 cars participating late at night.

Thanks,

Pics set-3:

Sea-link was a breeze. In next 10 minutes -around 12:40am- we were hunting for a large enough space to park 13 cars at the Worli Seaface. We did not find any space near the sea-link exit, so settled for a spot a bit farther.

Thanks Dodge_Viper!

Last set of pics:

1:30am -> It was getting late and some folks called it a day. Saket, Abhishek, Arun, Pritam, Jignesh, Yogesh and Swapnil left. The rest still wanted to push ahead to conquer the NCPA.

In the morning, a stretch near Chowpatty had caved in. Esmail and Siddarth expertly navigated us through this region to avoid any bottlenecks due to the cave-in. Around 2am, 6 cars reached NCPA.

Looking at the activity at the sea-face, it seemed like it was 9pm.

The police started shooing away folks from the sea-face around 2:30am. We started back after a quick group pic.

L to R -> Me, Esmail, Kiran's wife, Kiran, Kailash, Avinash, Raghav, Siddarth, Kiran's FIL.
Fortnightly mini-meet : Mumbai BHPians-52-dsc_0109.jpg

Four cars reached the begining of Eastern Freeway at 2:45AM .
Unique experience of Raghav's FFE Swift roaring in the Freeway tunnel! Reached home around 3:10am.

<The End>

Forgive me for being the party pooper, but I don't think stopping at Reclamation is a good idea, let alone crossing to the middle to take pics. I mean just a few weeks ago someone was hit by a car while changing his tyre. Stopping there early in the morning (when there is visibility) is one thing, but at 1230am while most cars are doing almost triple digit speeds is another.

Possibly better to shift the pics of the Saturday Nite meet to its own thread and keep this thread for the Friday nite meets
Just a suggestion though
Coz I guess more such Saturday nite meets wud happen in the future looking at the response we got yesterday

Very valid observation Akshay! I agree. It was a collective decision to stop there. Not necessarily the best decision. We did see some cars doing insane speeds. Although we were trying to contain the group in the road's shoulder area, a few folks were spilling onto the leftmost lane once in a while. In hindsight, quite a risky situation.
Thanks for the concern! Would be more careful as a group next time.

Midnight Zombie drive on 24/25th Aug

Shot a few videos on my mobile by mounting it is a dashcam. Not HD, so do not watch in full-screen. Also the audio has been muted, there is nothing wrong with your speakers.

11:30pm -> The convoy starting from Carter road:

(People from outside Mumbai are going to be amused by the thick traffic and we calling it a 'pleasurable' drive.)

11:50pm -> Regrouping at Bandra Reclaimation:

12:30am -> Sea-link to Worli seaface:

Please pay attention at 1:05 in the video and see a batmobile zoom past me at insane speed!

2:45am -> Freeway ride:

It was a privilege to lead the Distinguished BHPian. I must say the Duma looks pretty intimidating in the rear view mirror. Thanks Sanjay for your signature style meet report as usual. Also Pritam for sharing pics.
