Thanks SDP for the Quote Alert. I usually leave office in Goregaon by 9 PM. Raj, just mentioned on 'Whatsapp' that the dinner meet will go on till Midnight. I may show up as at least I won't get traffic while returning to Borivali after dinner.

It was a "Grand Meet".

Left Mantra post mid-night. Private dining, good food, great ambience, awesome T-BHP'ians.

Waiting for the pics to be put up.

Cheers,
Yogesh.

Oh damn. I crossed Powai in the daytime en route Pune. Had no idea there was a meet scheduled in the evening. Will have to follow this thread a bit more closely going forward!

The meet and greet was good, but the highlight was the dinner session was a lot of fun. I guess we will need to evolve SIG's (special interest groups) for the mini meets as well since we had discussions that ranged from gearboxes (DSG's) to baby strollers and car seats to phones.

Special thanks on behalf of everyone to Raj who did the booking at the venue for getting us a good private table where we would all enjoy, unlimited.

Especially our discussions on SA's in various dealerships, helped us roar in laughter. I wonder from where do our famed dealerships manage to get such blokes. Waiting for our famed pictures.

@ Raj, thanks bro for arranging a wonderful setup.

Thank you for accommodating me for that short while guys. I had some prior commitment which I could not miss, else I would have stayed longer. Probably next time... It was great meeting all of you.

Thanks to Swapszone. Met a ol'timer NC after ages. It was also a pleasure meeting all who were there for the meet. Hope to see the group soon if not frequent.

Anybody wanting to add me on watsapp or doing an impromptu meet - ping me on XXXXXXXXX
Niki
Niki, added you to the whatsApp group. Just a word of caution - the variety of topics that get discussed on the group and the sheer number of messages can drive one crazy!

Powai meet + dinner on 4th Oct 2013

While the whatsApp group was buzzing with messages like "I am on my way", "Saki-naka is jammed" and "JVLR is relatively free for a change", I was the first one to reach the regular place just outside the Hiranandani school. I dropped a one-liner on the group about me reaching and Rohit (who was not planning to attend the meet) was kind enough to change his regular route a bit to say hello.

After Rohit left, Jignesh dropped in. A few minutes later, a beautiful white Jetta pulled over. That was normally_crazy. carzone had taken a lift from nc and he also joined in. As the discussions started about new travelogues and a thousand other things, slowly people started joining in. Yesterday's was one of the biggest turnouts and the final count was closer to 20.

As usual had lots of fun and variety of interesting discussions with the group.
Raj_5004 dropped in for the first time. carzone, nikibusa, sawnilrules and top-gear were also first-timers to these meets. Got to meet Latenpotential after a huge gap (NH8 drive in April).

I could not attend the dinner because of work-related commitments. Even nc, Saket, niki, Jigar, raj_5004 dropped out from dinner plans. Varun (vvb8530) and Ravi (top-gear) joined in directly at dinner.

I am done. Waiting for dinner snaps now.

Nice pictures.
Can see a red BMW 1 series in some of the pics, parked behind the Jetta. Who's car is that?

A side note: People have started to take notice of our parking spot. I saw a few youngsters, a couple walking buy, all looking at the stickers on the various cars in a line, and wondering whats going on.

Was parked there for some time. Knowing Powai - where we get to spot a Z4 almost every day- we were not surprised. Was not part of our group.

That's true! If we would have had LTD (or gbhp) sticker on all cars at the exact same location (let's say rear-bumper-right-side), that would have been an even more awesome sight.

Sanjay missed meeting you yesterday.

I think its a good idea if all of us who meet regularly can have stickers at the same place on all cars, stickers probably could be of our own choice but location would be common. I think on the right hand side rear bumper seems good.
